The Han Solo spin-off Star Wars film has been confirmed and is currently set to release in 2018 and Disney is currently on the hunt for the best actor to portray the scruffy-headed nerf-herder. According to a recent report by The Hollywood Reporter Disney has already met with 2500 young actors.
"According to sources, more than 2,500 actors have met on the project or put themselves on tape, with casting director Jeanne McCarthy running point on finding the man to fill the vest made famous by Harrison Ford in the first Star Wars trilogy and The Force Awakens, which opens Dec. 18."
Phil Lord and Chris Miller will be directing the spin-off. Both Lord and Miller are best known for their work on rebooting 21 jump Street and The LEGO Movie. Both, were fairly successful and well-received comedies, which would suggest the Han Solo spin-off will likely put emphasis on comedy as well.
Though, many outlets are providing their own lists of actors they think would play Solo the best, many are forgetting one YouTuber who uploaded an epic impression back in 2008, who not only sounds like Harrison Ford, but looks incredibly similar to the actor when he was younger. His name is Anthony Ingruber and he's probably one of the best contenders we've seen to fill the shoes of the legendary Harrison Ford.
