A new Mad Max movie is currently in the works and could begin filming as early as later this year, sources told The Herald Sun. George Miller is set to direct a new film in the icon Mad Max series once again, this time acting as a prequel rather than sequel to the more recent, Mad Max: Fury Road.
Entitled Max Max: The Wasteland, this new film will primarily focus on the back story of one of Fury Road's most influential and iconic characters - Furiosa, who was played by the very talented Charlize Theron.
Charlize Theron as well as Tom Hardy are expected to reprise their respective roles for The Wasteland.
