Today, the official James Bond twitter account tweeted a picture of a clapboard, indicating that it was day 1 of shooting for the 24th James Bond movie 'Spectre'. The clapboard indicates Hoyte van Hoytema as the one behind the camera on the first day. There is also a china bulldog to be seen in the corner, although as of right now the purpose of that is unclear.
This continues in the wake of the previous week, wherein saw a wave of 'Spectre' announcements. Including a cast list, the title, plot details, and a new poster. The picture itself does not give anything away, other then revealing the filming date, although as mentioned before the inclusion of the china bulldog is mysterious in itself, as it is unclear if that is meant to be a plot hint or not.
The bulldog made an appearance in 'Skyfall' as it was prominently placed on 'M's desk. After her desk, she willed it to Bond for safekeeping. So it is possible that the location of the picture could be either in bond's apartment, or in his office. It is probably one of these two, and would make for an interesting scene hint for the first day of shooting as well.
Bond 24 will be the fourth film for Daniel Craig in his role as James Bond. Previously having been in 'Casino Royale', 'Quantum of Solace', and most Recently, 'Skyfall'. Sam Mendes is confirmed to be returning to direct as well. The release date for Bond 24 is November 6, 2015 in the United States. The film stars Daniel Craig, Naomie Harris, Monica Belluci,Lea SeydouxDavid Bautista and Christoph Waltz.
