Earlier this year we learned more about Neill Blomkamp's Alien 5 (code named Red Harvest) movie and what the plot would entail. We learned the film was at one point going to explore the Xenomorph genome and would involve experiments being performed on captive Aliens (by Weyland-Yutani). Recently, some more early concept art was uploaded by Farzad Vrahramyan (an artist who frequently works with Studio ADI) to Instagram but as of right now the artwork has been removed. Thanks to the folks at AvPGalaxy however, we managed to recover the artwork and show it off for you below. Have a look:

What do you think of this story angle? Should Alien 5 ever explore genetic tampering with the Xenomorph genome? Or is that too Prometheus-esque? Let us know your honest opinion in the comments section below!

I think the genetic tampering fits very well within the universe. David was able to mess around with their genetics, so why not the company? These concepts look alright, even though I'm not a hundred percent sold on them. They look a little too cartoon-y, especially the centipede alien with the flexible tongue. It kinda looks like it is going to sing us a song! ("Hello my baby, hello my honey" :D )

These do appear like some of the other Huante Concepts for Alien 5, i am not sure i am a massive Fan of the Traditional Looking Xenomorphs.. only having extra Limbs and Heads concepts.

I preferred most of the Davids Experiments Concepts from Alien Covenant.  But he Plot Idea of Experimenting on the Xenomorph i feel is a Decent one... while similar to Alien Resurrection Plot...

seeing a Company Advance more than they did in Alien Resurrection and come up with some Experiments like David did in Alien Covenant would be interesting.... but such a ALIEN 5 Does-Not (and indeed Originally Did-Not) have to bring back Ripley and IGNORE Alien 3

I really like this line of genetic modification of Xenos. By the way! Weyland always saw them as biological weapons. So I think it's natural that they have succeeded in catching them at some point in the chroma, recreating and somehow trying to improve them. Even if it was necessary to use genetic manipulation. Perhaps not to ignore Prometheus and Covanant, the very use of Black Goo would be used in these modifications. Over time, the corporation with enough technology and studies would already have mastered the use of black liquid. But so, speaking of the design of modified xenos. I preferred something more similar to what we saw in the Colonial Marines game, in addition to the Xenos that are in the main campaign. There are several others that have been discarded and could be very well used in the movies.

I think how the Game was trying to introduce different Xenomorphs, was more in line of HOW the Warhammer Franchise has various Tyranid Race/Fleet Organisms.

But lets not forget they (Games-Workshop) had used the Xenomorph/Alien to influence their Tyranid/Genestealer Races in the first place.

I think having various mutations of the Xenomorph can expand them a little, be that Natural Evolution of the Species into different Mutations... or Engineered Mutations via Engineers or Weyland Yutani Manipulation.

I would think the Black Goo would be the Ultimate Tool for the company to obtain as opposed to Xenomorphs however.
