Dune: Part 2 is currently playing in theaters across North America and today, we get our first look at Dune: Awakening - a brand new, open world survival game from the developers at Funcom! The game transports players to the hostile territories of Arrakis where the battle for Spice wages on. Players will get to build their own shelters, roam the desert sands, avoid being eaten by Sand Worms and battle other players in a massive open world environment!
Concept artwork and gameplay footage has been teased on the game's official channels over the last few weeks and today, within the hour, we'll get a full presentation which you can watch via the video embed below!
The Dune: Awakening Direct showcases are an exciting way for us to share more about Dune: Awakening with all of you. The first show will be hosted by Soe Gschwind and include never-before-seen footage of the game in two brand-new videos: a game trailer, and a featurette titled Creating Worlds, from Book to Film to Game.

An official release date has yet to be announced but it's safe to assume the game will launch on next generation consoles and PC sometime within the year! Once a date is confirmed however, we will update you!
