In 1991's summer blockbuster Terminator 2 Judgment Day the character of Sarah Connor (portrayed by Linda Hamilton) attempted to assassinate Dr. Miles Bennett Dyson (Joe Morton), Chief Engineer at Cyberdyne Systems, leader of the team responsible for the reverse-engineering of the Neural Network Processor from the T-800 that was sent back to 1984 to terminate Sarah, and the man mostly responsible for the development of an A.I. that would be used to control the Skynet Defence Network by the year 1997, leading to a Judgment Day date of August 29th 1997.
Although Sarah was unable to murder Miles, he was saved from sarah's initial, fatal shot to the back of the head when his son Danny drove his remote controlled car into miles foot. Ultimately it was both Danny and his mother, Miles wife Tarissa (S. Epatha Merkerson), pleading for Miles life that forced Sarah to see Miles as a misguided scientists, and not the amoral monster she had imagined him to be.
According to the Variety Hunger Games and The Spectacular Now actor Dayo Okeniyi (pictured) has been chosen to for the role of Danny Dyson in the forthcoming psuedo reboot/sequel Terminator: Genesis, beating Attack The Block actor John Boyega. The role was originally played by DeVaughn Nixon.
