Alan Tudyk and Nathan Fillion, stars of the cancelled 'too soon' Sci Fi TV series Firefly are set to return to our screens together again in the forthcoming comedy series Con Man, which will be availabe to watch soon on Vimeo. Con Man will be a light hearted comedy take on magnificent, wacky and downright strange world of the sci fi convention as percieved by Wray Nerely (Alan Tudyk), former star of a fictional sci fi TV series, Spectrum, which was cancelled 'too soon', and has since become a cult classic among fans. While Wray is destined to tour from covention to convention his good friend Jack Moore, portrayed by Castle and Firefly star Nathan Fillion, has enjoyed mass success as a A list movie star. The show, originally scheduled for 3 episodes, will also feature sci fi luminaries such as Seth Green (Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Austin Powers, Robot Chicken, Family Guy), Felicia Day (Supernatural), James Gunn (Guardians of the Galaxy) and Gina Torres (Firefly, Hannibal).
Its true, Alan is only good at fitting below average carpets!
The series will be shown on Vimeo and will be produced by Nathan Fillion, PJ Haarsma and you; as the series is being funded by you, the fans, via a campaign on IndieGoGo. While the campaign for the series has already exceeded its goal of $450,000 with a staggering, amazing $1,114,936 (at the time of going to press) which has extended the series to an awesome 12 episodes, there is still reason to support the series; supporters will not only recieve unique rewards in line with their level of contribution, but will also ensure a better quality production and possibly a second series - thus ensuring the series is not cancelled 'too soon'.
