The Cloverfield Paradox released on Netflix this month to a mixture of reactions from Cloverfield fans and general audiences alike. Despite the gripes, the franchise is moving forward with a fourth and fifth installment! Codenamed Overlord, Cloverfield 4 will be the craziest Cloverfield movie yet, says producer J.J. Abrams. During a recent interview with DigitalSpy, Abrams was quoted saying:
Overlord... First of all, it’s something that I can’t wait for you to see ’cause the director, Julius Avery, has done an amazing job on it. But the specifics, you know, we should wait and see. But that’s really a crazy movie.
Cloverfield 4, aka. Overlord will arrive in theaters on October 26th. The plot takes place in 1944 and involves a pair of military paratroopers who stumble upon Nazis experimenting with supernatural forces. Beyond that not much is known but as new details surface we'll be sure to keep you posted!
