Apologies for the updates on this I have been away on holiday and as much as I wanted to write this article, whilst I was away, the girlfriend would have killed me!
So what do we know so far about the new Borderlands the Pre-Sequel
Characters
All four playable charaters have been announced however, what do we know about these characters so far?
Athena the Gladiator
Athena was the first introduced to us in the 2009 DLC for the original Borderlands game "The Secret Armory of General Knox" you first met her at the T-bone junction at the start of the main quest and she ended up joining the vault hunters to bring down General Knox.
Her class looks to be a tank role which is supported by her action skill known as Kinetic Aspis this produces a shield on her arm to deflect enemy fire. As she obsorbs fire her shield boosts up and once the skill has timer is up she can then throw the shield at enemies. The early gameplay video also shows that friendly fire can charge the shield which can give you a strategic advantage.
Nisha the Lawbringer
Nisha was introduced to us as the Sheriff of Lynchwood in Borderlands 2 and is also in a relationship with Handsome jack.
We are waiting for futher information on her.
Wilhelm the Enforcer
Wilhelm is a very interesting character in my opinion as he was first introduced to us as a boss in Borderlands 2 where he is half Hyperion Engineer, half Loader however, in the pre-sequel you will play him as a human and as the game progresses you will see the events which turn him into the half robot boss you fight in the second game.
His action skills is known as Air Power which summons two drones to fight by his side. Wolf is the first drone and goes all out offensive attaching enemies and Saint, the second drone, stays by wilhelms side recharging his shields
Claptrap the Fragtrap
This character is in my opinion the most exciting player in the game and so far no news has been released about him.
Although you can see a glimpse of him in the game play footage.
Guns guns guns
There have been two new gun types that have been revealed in the game play footage. A Cryo gun which will freeze enemies and allow you to destroy them with a melee attack or a shot from another weapon, and a Laser gun which will add additional fire damage.
Well that's all we have so far if you havent done so yet I would recommend watching the game play footage video to get a feel for the new game and for Athena's class.
