After the news that Arkham Origins was to be developed by Warner Bros Montreal, Arkham fans expected original developers Rocksteady Studios to move onto new projects, so when the news of the Rocksteady helmed Arkham Knight fans were pleasantly surprised that the company had remained on board for the last instalment in the series, especially when the developers annouced that the sequel would allow players to control the much beloved Batmobile.

Now, courtesy of Game Informer, we can divulge some of the vehicles gameplay elements...
- Rocksteady never used the Batmobile in their previous games due to "technical constraints."
- The developers placed a Batmobile in the Arkham City map as an experiment but the results were "disastrous."
- Batman can leap out of the Batmobile while in motion, projecting himself hundreds of feet into the air.
- At the press of a button, Batman can call the Batmobile directly to his location, having the ability to jump in the cockpit while the car is driving towards him.
- Due to Batman's vulnerability, the Batmobile is 100% bullet-proof, making it easier to travel around Gotham without getting hurt.
- The Batmobile can smash through lampposts, retaining walls, and fences.
- While in the Batmobile, many thugs will be frightened and run away.
The Batmobile is equipped with a "defensive taser" to stop carjackers and thieves. - The Batmobile is installed with a vehicle immobilizer, which fires a nonlethal missile at fleeing cars.
Unlike Arkham Origins, there will be no fast travel. The Batmobile will be the only form of vehicle transportation. - The roads and buildings are much larger to accommodate for the Batmobile and its features. There is "a lot more negative space."
