Avengers: Infinity War was, for fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the long-awaited event movie that was ten years in the making. The nineteenth movie of the MCU Infinity War brought together characters and narratives from its eighteen predecessors, weaving them into an event movie of truly epic proportions, the culmination of which has left fans reeling and speculating where and how the much-coveted series of movies can continue. While fans expect part of that answer to be inferred in the forthcoming Captain Marvel movie, the true answers will, of course, be revealed in the sequel to Infinity War. Unfortunately for fans details on what lies in wait in the sequel has been kept under wraps by Marvel Studios, until now...
The first trailer for Avengers: Endgame unsurprisingly doesn't give away too much, but we do get some interesting glimpses such as the return of Jeremy Renner, presumably now playing the role of Ronin (a new identity adopted by Hawkeye in the comics), the survival of Scott Lang (Paul Rudd), and the absence of Mark Ruffalo as the presumably still Hulk-less Bruce Banner.
Avengers: Endgame, the twenty-second movie of the MCU will be released in theaters April 26th, 2019.
