3 Must-Watch Sci-Fi Movies While Using CBD

Those who use CBD often cite the cannabinoid’s ability to help you relax. In a world where daily stress is the norm, it isn’t surprising to learn that the cannabidiol industry is already a multi-billion dollar one.

High-quality products such as the premium CBD topicals available online could assist you in the quest to chill after a hard day. A study published in The Permanente Journal outlined how CBD can help reduce anxiety and reduce insomnia.

Equally, films enable us to engage in a bout of pure escapism as we reflect on life in one of these imagined worlds. This is especially true of the sci-fi genre.

Now, consider the prospect of combining the relaxing properties of CBD while visiting a sci-fi world. We believe it would be pretty cool, and we have three movies that could provide a mind-blowing experience.

1 – Blade Runner (1982)

These days, Blade Runner is regarded as one of the all-time great sci-fi flicks. However, it performed relatively poorly when released in the early 1980s. It eventually made a slight profit, but many people didn’t like the lack of action or the movie’s seemingly slow pace.

What’s interesting about Blade Runner is the fact there are seven different versions! This is because studio executives continually requested changes. In 1992, a director’s cut was released after a good test screening performance.

In any case, this is a CBD movie that requires your full attention. The visuals don’t look so impressive today, but they were considered spectacular at the time. Blade Runner brilliantly examines serious themes such as morality, nature, creation, and the meaning of life.

Harrison Ford plays Rick Deckard, a ‘blade runner’ whose job is to track down replicants, robots designed to look and act like humans. What follows is a grim portrayal of a dystopian future, and Deckard is barely more functional than the enemies he is sent to destroy.

The movie implies that Deckard is actually a replicant himself. Therefore, what part of the human psyche is real? The replicants in the movie are robots with seemingly more compassion than humans. As we said, you’ll need CBD to help keep your mind sharp during this movie!

2 – Alien (1979)

The tagline for Alien is “In space, no one can hear you scream.” This is true because sound has nothing to travel through in space. If you tried to scream in space, the sound would never leave your mouth.

This exceptional movie was the beginning of an extraordinary franchise that spawned several sequels, a crossover with the Predator, and a ton of merchandise. It also launched the career of Sigourney Weaver, who plays warrant officer Ripley.

Alien has a fairly simple plot: The Nostromo spaceship's seven-member crew is returning to Earth. All of the crew are in stasis. The ship’s computer, called Mother, wakes the crew up after finding a transmission. The ship lands on the moon and gets damaged. After finding out that the message came from a derelict alien ship, three crew members leave to look for it.

Meanwhile, Ripley deciphers some of the message and finds that it is a warning. However, she is unable to tell her crewmates. The investigating team discovers hundreds of large eggs, which is the beginning of a terrible ordeal that claims many lives. You’ll probably need some CBD with this movie to keep you calm as the horror unfolds!

3 – Star Wars (1977)

Prepare to step into an incredible world in what is the beginning of arguably the greatest sci-fi franchise ever. It tells the story of what happens to characters “a long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away.” Star Wars was the first of the saga to be released, although it is actually Episode IV out of nine movies, the last of which was shown to the world in 2019.

Also known as A New Hope, this movie centers on a young man named Luke Skywalker, who becomes embroiled in a plot to take down the Galactic Empire. There is a civil war taking place, and the Rebel Alliance had stolen plans to the Empire’s Death Star ship. Princess Leia is one of the leaders of the rebellion, and she has the ship’s schematics.

She is captured but hides the plans in the memory of a droid called R2-D2. One day, Luke comes across the plans while cleaning the droid, which begins an extraordinary adventure. Star Wars helped redefine an entire industry and made the careers of many people along the way. Use some CBD, chill out, and enjoy this epic movie.
