It is, perhaps, my favorite film of all time simply due to it's visual splendor. Ridley Scott is an artist beyond compare and the visuals coupled with the sound was the best in film, in my opinion to date. It is the first film to be so organic in visual that the 'uncanny valley' was completely non-existent. His uncanny sense for visual perfection rivaled only Hugo, which of course was made by another of our greatest makers, Scorsese. I am thankful that the film was changed from being a specific precursor to the Alien due to the original script not being exactly right, however I do believe that Fox knows it was a mistake not to give Scott his requested 250 million, even with both writers on board, due to the fact that the man who made the decisions is now no longer with the studio. I am quite confident that they will be upping the ante for the second film, one which we can only pray Scott will agree to Direct again.
