What will the Pacific Rim series be about?
While specific plot details have yet to be announced, we do know the series will take place before the events of the first film. Acting as a prequel to Guillermo del Toro's iconic and superior entry in the two-film franchise. Exactly when in the Pacific Rim timelime the show occurs, we do not know yet.
At the time of 2013's Pacific Rim, Kaiju and Jaegers had already been at war for some time, so there's plenty of story to explore.
When does the Pacific Rim series release?
Currently no concrete release date has been set for the series, however given its current trajectory, the show could release near the end of 2026 or early 2027. Filming has not yet begun and casting is still in very early stages.
