My Theory on the Identity of the Warzone Monster

I was looking at the Warzone cave painting that shows Godzilla fighting an unknown monster recently, and I noticed that the monster’s tail looks a lot like Space Godzilla’s. The creature’s dorsal spines are also transparent and shaped like crystals. Could this mean that the creature is in fact Space Godzilla?

Some fans believe that it could be Leviathan or Anguirus, but if that were the case, wouldn’t its dorsal spines look more like aquatic fins or spines than hard crystals?

If the flying creature from the mural and the Warzone creature are the same, their physical differences could be explained in one of two ways…

One, the Warzone monster is actually an alternate version of the monster on the mural. If the monster is supposed to be the MonsterVerse’s version of Space Godzilla, perhaps the creative team changed its design to look more like the Space Godzilla we know from Toho, with the crystals on its back instead of wings.

In other words, the flying creature from the mural could be an early design for the villain of the next movie. And the creature shown in the Warzone cave painting is the finalized design they’ll use in the next movie (assuming the next villain is indeed Space Godzilla).

Second, the Iwis gave the monster wings to symbolically represent it “flying” thanks to the Hollow Earth’s gravity field.

Another observation I made is that compared to the other cave paintings from Warzone, the painting of Godzilla fighting the unknown monster is highlighted while the others are dark. If the painting was supposed to show Godzilla fighting one of the unseen Titans from KOTM, highlighting it would be an odd choice, especially when you consider that the other cave paintings show non-highlighted assets of Godzilla’s G14 design, Kong’s GVK design, the skullcrawlers, warbats, and the male MUTO.

It seems like the game designers were trying to draw our attention to the painting with the unidentified monster like it’s something significant.

Also, can I point out that the painting of Godzilla fighting the mysterious Titan is drawn in the same art style as the mural from the GVK artbook?

As far as I know, none of the other cave paintings from Warzone are drawn in that style, which further adds to the mysterious painting’s significance.

Methuselah's tail is much shorter though and doesn't have those large spikes.

In some ways, the design of the Warzone monster kind of resembles Rokmutul, a monster who was originally meant to be Godzilla's rival in an early version of 2014. They both have a spikey frill on their heads, spikes covering their backs, spines on their elbows, and large Stegosaurus-like spikes/thagomizers on their tails. The only major difference is that Rokmutul had six legs, while this creature only has four (though they could have easily changed that).

I took that because its a cave painting.

I'm guessing the Warzone monster ISN'T in GVK 2.
