Chapter 7: The End

Despite his ribcage being completely shattered and having been slammed by Nequit Dominum numerous times, Destructo pressed on towards the Golden Land. He finally reached his destination, looking at the massive sauropods, hadrosaurs, and ceratopsids. However, food could wait, and he laid down under a tree and began to rest.

Eagle led his pack forward, all of them injured and exhausted. The four staggered, before finally arriving. They found a hollowed out log, huddled together, and dozed off.

Last, but not least, the seven Tyrannosaurs clambered down a slope into the Golden Land. Thunderstorm had still been leaning on his siblings for support, but now he was able to move independently. Standing to his full height of eighteen feet, he looked around at his birthplace. Then, he turned his attention to Hurricane and the Albertosaurus family.

Hurricane sadly chirped that he was going to live with his T.rex siblings, for he had hunted, slept, and drank without them. Albus cooed back, sadly chirping goodbye to his "son." Hurricane nuzzled each and every one of the pack, before turning and departing with Earthquake and Thunderstorm.

As Albus watched them leave, he cried out and jogged towards Hurricane. He said that it didn't have to be this way, and they could live together. Thunderstorm and Earthquake were shocked. This was unheard of, two species living together?!

Hurricane happily agreed, and the seven Tyrannosaurs walked through the floodplains before entering a forest. Thunderstorm and Earthquake sensed a great familiarity in this particular area of the forest, before stumbling across their old nest, and the skeletons of their parents.

Thunderstorm and Earthquake hung their heads low at the sight of their remains. They could feel their parents looking down on them from the Heavens. Thunderstorm had brought his parents peace and closure by avenging them when he killed Tornado the Giganotosaurus. Earthquake suddenly felt an intense swelling in her hips, and leaned down over the nest. Thunderstorm and Hurricane watched with excitement, as an egg emerged from her body and rolled into her nest.

It had turned out that Earthquake had mated with Emerald before the latter's demise at the hands of the asteroid. Earthquake laid down to rest, her body around the nest like a dragon. Cocoa, Alborax, Alba, Albus, Hurricane, and Thunderstorm also laid down, and fell asleep.

*One year later*

Thunderstorm and Earthquake detected the scent of two alpha-Tyrannosaurus rex. Leaving the Albertosaurus pack and Hurricane to guard the nest, they approached the other creatures. As they came into view, Thunderstorm identified them as Tyrance and Tyria, who had also survived. It was here that Tyrance revealed to them the truth behind their lineage; Thunderstorm and Earthquake were the offspring of the brother of the deceased Tyrant King, Tyranak. This meant that they were the cousins of the current Tyrant King. The two pairs exchanged goodbyes after Earthquake told them about her and Thunderstorm's egg.

Thunderstorm and Earthquake watched with excitement as they heard the sounds of cracking. Looking over to the nest, they watched as a navy-blue T.rex with an electric-blue stripe running down his body and hues of reddish-brown and a cream-white underbelly made his way out of the eggshell. This was Blitz, the son of Earthquake and nephew of Thunderstorm. He had bred true to the bloodline of the Tyrant King and the Tyrant Thunderstorm. His amber eyes gazed upon his mother and uncles, who nuzzled him with affection.

Thunderstorm stood up and walked to the cliff where his parents had died. He looked at the skeletons of them, then at the skull of Tornado. He took a breath of the fresh air, the wind blowing through his feathers. Finally, the Tyrant Thunderstorm threw his head up and released an earth-silencing roar. Hurricane, Earthquake, Albus, Alba, Alborax, and Cocoa roared in response, showing honour to the great alpha-Tyrannosaurus rex. The animals below them, including Eagle, Falcon, Hawk, Owl, and Destructo, saluted their king with their own cries.

Epilogue

Thunderstorm was not forgotten. His DNA would be the template for a monster known as the Lightning Rex. On Isla Nublar, Thunderstorm, the Lightning Rex, would grow to become the largest of his species, and become a true legend. He would fall short to only one other individual of his species, and this was the Tyrant Lord. But, alas, a legend has been born.
