MemberPraetorianMay-23-2017 5:05 PMWhile the $36 million opening weekend is below some earlier predictions, Ridley Scott's latest delivered one of the Alien franchise's strongest debuts.
Take a look below to see the domestic box office debuts of every Alien movie in both adjusted and unadjusted form, as well as their worldwide totals.
Covenant's estimated debut is the third-highest of the franchise. Prometheus, which did not use the "Alien" name, reportedly had a higher production budget than Covenant, however, which would play a role in how Fox, the distributors of the film, would view each respective debut.
Alien Covenant also stands up even when every film's debut is adjusted for inflation.
