These trailers are ridiculous and have ruined all the terrifying surprises this movie could have gave. I am going to list all of the Alien Covenant characters and based entirely on the damn trailers, I will predict certain fates and in the order they happen:

Branson-Clearly he dies in cryo sleep due to some crazy systems failure(someone kills him). Proof-Daniels crying in trailer and she's being held back back 2 characters.

Ledward-needs to go to the chiropractor. Could have been one of the most surprising, terrifying moments in movie history. but unfortunately fox marketing wants to show off for some reason...

Karine-Neomorph.

Faris-Fire

Hailett-mouth burster

Rosenthal-neomorph

Luckily from here its still a mystery as to who lives/dies excluding: Oram-Chestburster, Cole-xenomorph(he's obviously not going to be prepared to escape an xenomorph attack from above... c'mon WTF FOX) and Upworth & Ricks- Xenomorph just wanted to take a shower.

So....

Daniels-?

Tennessee-?

Lope-?

Ankor-?

walter/david-? I'm honestly not sure who is true villain.. am really looking forward to this movie regardless of Fox spoiling stuff.

Thoughts??

Dear Science Umm... You can choose not to watch trailers and such. I can tell you that I watched trailers, spoilers and reviews before watching Prometheus and my mind just went blank and took it in when I saw it. It sort of sounds like you might be ruining the movie for yourself before it even drops.

I found the prometheus trailers to be very mysterious, especially the first few. Trailers used to have more mystery to them instead of just giving stuff away. The very first Alien Covenant trailer had the back bursting scene.. it was too much to show.

My prediction, I bet firmly with few doubts, there is no human survivor.

david kills a whole city though so that's pretty awesome

Don't go se the movie then since you already know everything. Easy solution.

Well...maybe they showed a couple to many deaths.

On the other hand. You know nothing about the whole plot. You dont know who will survive at the end.

I watch movies for the story and for the movie, visuals itself. I dont really care knowing a couple of deaths beforehand. The death of people is not why i watch a movie.

It will still be awesome and I am still pumped and hyped to go to see this movie.

Alien movies have always ended with most people dying.

The story is what matters, the crew dies in every alien film. The actual trailers amount to about 10minutes of a 220 minute film, so there is a lot that can happen that no-one can anticipate.

we dont know what happens to david, any surviving engineers and shaw, they are pretty big questions.

Tbf Dear Science has a point

Prometheus showed a bit too much, like the Prometheus ship ramming the Jugganaught, which was a pretty important act

I would estimate we have seen approx 20 mins of 120mins, which is circa 15 % of the film

You can also map the order of the film with the soundtrack

I think there is still about a clean 45 mins that hasn't had parts revealed

Hopefully there are a lot more twists and surprises to come

Prometheus basically showed the whole movie with trailers and spoilers but you know what- I chose to watch the spoilers so it was my tough luck (I would have disliked the movie all the same actually).

I guess I will be that guy and say that people who don't want spoilers should tune out of threads or even the forum for a while. Some of us like spoilers and enjoy discussing how wrong most of us will be. It is part of the fun and experience.

DK - Totally agree with you

DK, I agree completely. 100%

In the main Prometheus trailer the displayed EVERY SINGLE CRITICAL MOMENT.  Shaw's squid baby?  Alive and wriggling right after the alien abortion.  Hammerpeded..?  Yep.  The ONLY surprise of the film was the Squid/Engineer attack sequence and the Deacon birth.  Thats it.  Every other scene was there.

I don't actually care about spoilers. As dk mentioned, it's an Alien movie, so most people die - maybe all of them - no matter what. And as many people complained there were no xenomorphs or facehuggers in PROMETHEUS, forcing Sir Ridley to rethink his original ideas for PROMETHEUS - PARADISE, it should be expected the traditional bug hunt/bugs hunting thing.

I agree with Babylonxeno: the story is what matters, there's a lot to be shown apart from deaths and xenos of any kind (and their killings), not to mention that Sir Ridley is a master when it comes to creating great atmosphere in movies.

I m very concerned about of lenght of this movie, must be longer than Prometheus (125m.), 2 h. 30 m runtime will be ok for me.  Since 20 minutes of footage and teasers has been leacked, this movie can be very predictable, and it is the worst that can happen.

from what we have seen and the evidence we have we can probably closely predict the running and flow of the film.

however we cant know what is to be revealed in these scenes and that is key for me.

some answers and some more questions.

i still dont think they will be much time to reveal the answers from questions asked in prometheus.

we can hope

Take This.... This is the blood of our lord

As with most trailers i tend to look at the now and then rather than the whole picture. Remember there is a story to what happens and these trailers dont really answer much but show us some of the exciting stuff that will happen :).

@Roger55 I know that early releases were clocking in at just over 2 hours. I'm with you in that I PRAY the editors and Fox allow this movie to be "Epicized" and turned into a 2.5 hour plus movie, so the plot doesn't get rushed.

As far as I can see the official run time is 2hrs 3 mins

I would love 2.5, does anyone have any firm info that it's more than 2hrs 3mins?
