MemberTrilobiteJan-27-2017 7:27 PMJohn Hurt as Kane. To paraphrase Peter Weyland- a bit of a game changer, that one.
Thanks for the entertainment we continue to enjoy and RIP. Say hello to Rod Serling and Leonard Nimoy for me.

MemberFacehuggerJan-27-2017 7:39 PMIt's funny the things that stick with you - the opening scene in Alien, with Kane the first to wake from cryosleep is one of the vivid memories I have of first seeing Alien when I was young. I remember it seemed so eerie and stark.
Think it's only fitting to watch it again today!

A true talented Legend who is so versatile in the kinds of roles he plays and always seems to do a very good job with every role he has ever taken, and also some amazing performances to boot.
On Stage or TV or on Film, his talents will be lost but never forgotten.

MemberPraetorianJan-28-2017 2:17 AMA wonderful actor.
His performance in The Elephant Man is the most emotive I have ever seen. No one else could have portrayed John Merrick so movingly!
RIP Sir John...you will never be forgotten...
