The first Alien action figure; and the first toy based on an R-rated movie.  Frequently these vintage items can be found today but are commonly broken and missing parts.

I've written a massive thread dedicated to outlining how to repair and maintain one of these Classic action figures:

1979 Kenner Alien Complete Restoration

Enjoy!

Sounds like a deal to me. :)  I'll also be adding News and reviews of ALIEN action figures.  For example, I've just added News about NECA's new PROMETHEUS Lost Wave action figure set to the site's front page.  Check it out.  More News coming soon.

Thank you.  It's coming along fine.  The book is largely complete now - it needs fine tuning in terms of content.  Then Professionally edited and designed to be presentable.  Those 2 costs will be factored into the KickStarter campaign sometime next year.  Not far away now, huh.

I'll be announcing when that happens well in advance.

Right now, my big priority is promoting its existence.  As such, the site is updated regularly.  Go check it out.

The video outlines some of the principal features and content of the 200+ page book to be published sometime late next year:

Thank you.  Mind you, you won't have to just take my word for it.  Soon you'll be able to judge that for yourself first hand once I release the 30 page excerpt.

That's planned for release around the end of the year.  Not far to go, now.  ;)

Added 20 images of the GLORIOUS 24 inch tall Gentle Giant (Hey, there's nothing 'gentle' about this thing...lol ) glow in the dark Tribute ALIEN to the web site Gallery. Check it out! 2 full feet of hideous plastic cast in a bright lurid green that won't let you sleep at night. Too awesome!

Continuously impressed by this. How long has this taken you to put together, just out of curiosity?

18 months; which also included 12 months of waiting, waiting, waiting... for legal advice and guidance.  Mind you, that time was also put into getting everything ready for the site launch.  Now I just have to organise the excerpt for release.

So far, it's shaping up well and looking good.  :)

It's been 25 years since Kenner released their range of ALIENS action figures in 1992.

I am pleased to announced the KickStarter campaign for the book HIDEOUS PLASTIC - In stores everyone can hear you scream has gone live.

The 200+ page book investigates just about every aspect of the original Kenner ALIEN action figure that was released in 1979.  The KickStarter campaign will run for 60 days spanning March 1st to April 29.   A minimum of US$20,000 is needed to reach the Primary Goal for this Project to be successful. Not high at all and very achievable.

Visit the KickStarter campaign page and show your support!  Currently, the KickStarter campaign is the only way to secure your copy of HIDEOUS PLASTIC - In stores everyone can hear you scream.  The availability of this book after the campaign concludes is not guaranteed.

You have 60 days to decide if you want support this Project and acquire a copy.

Thank you for your attention.  ;)
