I was inspired by Sci-Fi's recent post. So, what are your favorite raptors? Me, I like Deinonychus the best(favorite raptor and 5th favorite dinosaur). It looked cool and it was the perfect size. It was the perfect size for taking on almost anything(3-4 meters long and 150-250 pounds). Deinoychus was smart, fast(45 mph), and a efficient pack hunter. But that's just my favorite. What about all of you?

I like Utahraptor. It's my favorite raptor and my favorite dinosaur.

Gotta say Utahraptor. Don't know why, it just is. It's big, but it's fast and agile at the same time.

Jack of all trades. Master of none

Cool. My second favorite raptor is Pyroraptor(2-2.5 meters long and 100-150 pounds). Got a cool name and I loved Pod in Dinosaur Planet(same show that introduced me to Tarascosaurus, Aucasaurus, and Daspletosaurus, which are also some of my favorite dinosaurs)...

I love utahraptor,I love all dromeosaurids in general. it is tied for my second favorite dinosaur along eith allosaurus.

utahraptor is just big, muscular, powerful, quick, agile, and certainly deadly. It was the whole predator package. It is huge at 7 meters long and 1600 pounds. Now that is more then a match for a human or most other carnivores in his size range. I just live utahraptor!

Carnosaur

hmm... that'd have to be austroraptor, just because how specialized in regards to morphology it is, not to mention it's huge! ~20 feet long, 700 pounds (~6.3 meters, 300 kg)

* whispers quitley to himself* well utahraptor is bigger.

Carnosaur

MemberCompsognathusOct-11-2014 5:29 PM
haha, well yes Utahraptor is more robust in proportions, and was overall a probably more lethal animal. austroraptor was rather specialized to hunt small animals, medium sized herbivorous dinos

REX FAN 684 - Hmm, this is a very interesting topic! I'd have to say my favorite "raptor" is either the deinonychus or the Utahraptor. Both were incredibly amazing and agile animals - perfectly suited to the niche within which they arose! :)

Utahraptor by a longshot!  It not only combined the usual traits of agility, speed, and intelligence of other raptors, but it had the size and strength that put it well ahead of other dromaeosaurs.  It was the T.rex of raptors!

Utahraptor, mostly definitely. His is the biggest Raptor and looks closest to the Raptors in Jurassic Park.

As many of you know, Utahraptor is my favorite dinosaur, so naturally I I have to go with it. Going with raptors, next will be Balaur, but if we include Troodonts (or hypothetical Troodonts) then Bradycneme takes the cake at my fourth favorite dinosar f all times.

velociraptor, (or bambiraptor) They're lethal at eight months, and I do mean lethal. I've hunted most things that can hunt you, but the way these things move...

My favorite raptor has to be the Utahraptor. Why? Let's see. Their raptors. They have giant claws. They're quite large for a raptor. They're American. Murica.

utahraptor by far. nature combines strength, speed, intelligence, extreme senses, agility, pack hunting and overall power into one deadly creature. Not to mention the curved and extremely lethal foot-long sickle claws.
