Found this article and thought it might be of interest!

In Alien, after the crew of the Nostromo has awakened from their hyper-sleep, the ship’s navigator, Lambert (Veronica Cartwright), states that they are “just short of Zeta II Reticuli.” It’s a UFOlogical reference so fleeting that few in the UFO community seem to have noticed it – or, if they have, it’s rarely been discussed.

Zeta Reticuli, is a binary star system in the constellation of Reticulum located approximately 39 light-years from Earth. It is also thought by many to be the home system of the so-called “Grey” aliens – an idea that has its roots in the 1961 Hill abduction incident in which Betty and Barney Hill were allegedly taken aboard an extraterrestrial spacecraft in rural New Hampshire and subjected to medical tests.

It was the first UFO abduction account to gain widespread media attention. When the Hills underwent regression hypnosis a couple of years after their abduction experience, Betty recalled being shown a star map by the ETs, which she later sketched from memory at the urging of her psychiatrist.

That star map was later interpreted by amateur astronomer Marjorie Fish as a depiction of the Zeta Reticuli star system and quickly entered UFO lore. As one of her hobbies, Marjorie made an investigation into the Betty Hill map by constructing a 3-D star map in the late 1960's using several databases. She found a pattern that matched Mrs. Hill's drawing well, which generated international interest.

Zeta Reticuli would also be cited in later years as being home to the Greys in connection with Project Serpo and by Area 51 “whistleblower,” Bob Lazar.

Betty Hill's Star Map Drawing:

Marjory Fish interpretation of the Hill Star Map:

During the marketing campaign for Prometheus, Ridley Scott made explicit reference to Zeta(2) Reticuli. In a promotional featurette, the director said: “The planet where they [the crew of the Prometheus] go is called Zeta(2) Reticuli, and what they find there is an establishment that is not what they expected it to be.” Scott added, “This story kind of walks around the truth of what there may be out there... It presents some big questions.”

The implication of Scott’s statement was that the UFOlogical significance of Zeta(2) Reticuli would receive greater emphasis in the Prometheus narrative (the film’s plot is after all, heavily indebted to Ancient Astronaut theory). However, when Prometheus finally hit cinemas, it contained no spoken reference whatsoever to Zeta(2) Reticuli. Why bother drawing attention to the name of your characters’ destination during the promotion of your movie, only to include no obvious reference to it in the movie itself?

Perhaps some reference to this ended up being cut from the final film? We may never know the answer to this question.

So, what do you guys think? Did the Prometheus mission  go to Zeta(2) Reticuli after all, and perhaps drew its influence in this regard directly from imagery associated with the Hill abduction case?

A drawing of the craft seen by the Hills appears in this video, it bears a striking resemblance to the [Elder's] Mothership (Noobernaut) seen above the waterfall!

Below is an interesting video about the case :

I have seen from early NASA explorations 20 years ago were looking outside the solar system for another planet thats a kind of 10th planet and were looking in the direction of either Zeta Reticuli II or Sagitarius. Now we find out that there are many many planets outside our own system and they could harbor life or intelligent life.

The Anunnaki were on the earth in those days--and also afterward--when the sons of God went to the daughters of humans and had children by them. They were the heroes of old, mighty men of high reno

Yes the Prometheus Star Maps do match pretty much Betty's map, and no doubt the Prometheus team did base their map on that map.

And indeed the distances also add up to the location of LV 426 and LV 223 as far as 39 LY away.. Looking at the Prometheus Cave map the Tall Being seems to be pointing to Alpha Mensae which is 33 LY away but then he is not quite pointing at it, its just he star that is closest to his finger.

To the left and below left of that Star Map is Zeta 1 and 2, then the next 3 in that map configuration from Top to bottom match up most likely with 82 G. Eridani 20 LY then Tau Ceti 12 LY and finally Gliese 86 35 LY.

Now looking at what little is known about planets in those systems (dont count UFO reports just NASA and Science Data).  it would seem that Gliese 86 seems to fit the bill more for Prometheus.  it is also a binary system but a tight one and Gliese 86 B is just 36 LY away.

Potentially i guess LV 223 and LV 426 could be in seperate systems Gliese 86 and 86 B.

However LV 223 does have some kind of attmosphere and is kind of habitable and those Gliese Stars simply may not be right enough to allow such a habitable zone.

so again the other candidate would be they are Zeta 2 and Zeta 1

But as far as knowing for sure if these places have life or planets, well Science just cant give a 100% answer as they are to far to find planets, as they way we search for them is flawed.

As the main way is to use the flicker and wobble caused by the Stars and also infa red paterns of the Star in relation to potential planets moving past  them. And a number of times they have said they have found a planet doing this only to then come out and say they was wrong.

The main problem with this method is if you take Earth, our sun would flicker and wobble as Earth passes between the Sun and a far far away Telescope, but the only way to then confirm Earth would be to wait a few years and if at the same time of year the Sun wobbles at the same point exactly every year then you know you have a planet.

For Mars you would notice the patern every 687 days and Jupiter 4332 days so you would have to mark and watch this patern of transit for Jupiter like for 23 years for it to happen twice and confirm it by the methods that science is using with the Kepler Telescope

Yes there would be other ways with closer star systems but our Telescopes simply can not find individually a planet thats far away like 20 LY+

But hey this is SCI-FI so it dont matter and besides if we was going for accurate science well Holloways map he shows in the Rec Room is well not even where Zeta 2 would be lol.
