PACIFIC RIM 2

Prequel would be good. To see how everything started

I'dd prefer a sequel, i want more of the characters that we saw in the first movie. And some new characters too. And i want them to expand on the world they built in the first one. Anyway i trust Travis Beacham and Guillermo Del Toro to do something amazing no matter what.

yeah prequel will look awesome, showing our first encounter in detail and the first jaegers. also i just wanna see some gen 2 jaagers cause in the wikia there are none when i checked. the prequel would just be epic with the rise and fall of the jaegers. we wanna see where it all began.

Prequel would be better show us the first encounter and more in depth on the jaegars.

I am on the fence, and would opt for both. I would love to see the Jaegers in a prequel, and then the end of the film (or if there are two of them, we can hope) would be when "Everything changed...". However, if we go sequel, we may get more into the mindscape of everything, with the suggestion that we would be drifting with kaiju/jaeger hybrids and all of that. Maybe using Kaiju against other Kaiju, or who knows. Take the fight to them, and stop the aliens from harming us, or other planets in the future...

I want a sequel, I want bigger monsters bigger Jeagers ( a big war). I want series to. This movie may never end its a to good movie they have to make Pacific Rim 3 and 4 and 5 and ........

Combo Breaker! Mix in old with new. There is a huge amount of story from Hannibal Chow. I felt that in his conversation with Newt that Hannibal had drifted with a Kaiju previously. That would explain Alaska and Gipsys fall, along with the Jaeger program. What did Hannibal see? Was his drift deeper than Newts? Is there a story there? Combine the secrets learned from the past, to help form the battle in the future. This was done very well with Makos story. P.S. I would kill a Kaiju with my bare hands to watch Stalker Pentecost in his prime. P.P.S. If a human drifts with the hive mind, could the hive mind take over the human... Bum bum BUM, Skin job Kaiju/humans. Too much inner struggle? Not enough Mecha bashing Monsters.

P.P.S.S. Max Sterling vs Miriya, based Human Vs Precursor controlled human, fight to the edge of their ability, falling in love... Dripping silly love story. Robotech did this very well. Fast and dirty. I think their love story was like 10 minutes of screen.

One of my all-time favourite sci-fi movies. I would love to see a sequel first where you learn more about the interdimensional aliens and maybe how the Kaiju are related to dinosaurs. That dinosaur connection was a little vague I think. In the sequel the jaegers could perhaps travel through an artificially made rim to go and kick some alien and kaiju ass on another world that has somehow contacted earth and needs help. And then a “Pacific Rim Begins†prequel. Then more sequels where jaegers clean up in the other dimension and/or in our galaxy. Something like that… ;-)
