BR metropolis of Daido Moriyama

One of Japan's most internationally famous photographers is Daido Moriyama. His photographs have somewhat of a cinematic look to them, also a BR-like quality with many (like stated in the 1st linked blog). I agree with this observation as well.

One could easily speculate that many of Daido's photographs had some influence on Ridley; in the visual-style & street-level presentation of BR. It's quite likely that Ridley would have been aware of this photographer, as he was incredibly fond of these types of art books for obvious reasons.

It would be a great question to ask of him in the future, if someone ever got the chance.
