Given all the talk and reviews about Prometheus, and the depth of discussion about any future direction with regards the script, I think it is safe to say that there are going to be scenes with David and Shaw in the Juggernaut. One of the things Ridley is known for, is creating big film sets. He has also in the past used footage from films taken by other film makers. Take Blade Runner. Some of the ending scenes was taken by Stanley Kubrick. This is the act of a film maker who will optimise his budget and put the costs into filming what is going to have impact. If you look closely at Blade Runner there are the odd bits of tech that have been re- used from Alien, such as graphics on VDU’s. So Ridley will re use footage and ideas if it makes the end product look good. After Prometheus came out, it soon followed that the Blu ray had extra footage seemingly, we are told for editing reasons. I am beginning to wonder if this was a marketing strategy. People had questions about the film which these little snippets of footage seem to answer. Soon after, the great debate follows about all the work that went into Prometheus and the re scripting. What strikes me as odd is that imo there is way too much wasted footage, time and effort, which all comes at a cost for it not to be seen in the end product. So, back to the Juggernaut. P2 require scenes, and in turn would require a set. I don’t thing it would be cheap. Having to rebuild a set that was in Prometheus would surely take quite a bit out of the overall budget. Which brings me to the point of asking. Were any P2 scenes shot on the ready built Prometheus set ? This would save a lot of time and money. I’m not suggesting that most of P2 has already been shot, but it would make sense if some scenes have, since P2 was already part of the big plan.

Unless THAT particular juggernaut is used for more than one scene, I can't see them building it. It would effectively be a waste of money just for one scene. They would probably just show Shaw and David walking away from a distant shot of the juggernaut in the background. That's what i'm thinking at the moment. I mean, I can't invision much progress in the story if they are onboard the juggernaut throughout a long period of the film. And if a lot of the budget will be spent on the engineers homeworld/environment, it would be money wasted, because we've already seen the inside of a juggernaut.

The poster was good though!

But... what if because they took off in a different Juggernaut the inside was different? What if each Juggernaut is unique?
Perfect organism. Its structural perfection is matched only by its hostility. I admire its purity. A survivor... unclouded by conscience, remorse, or delusions of morality.

They could be unique like if they had one for their higher ranking Elders or maybe some smaller ships like fighters for offensive uses.

The Anunnaki were on the earth in those days--and also afterward--when the sons of God went to the daughters of humans and had children by them. They were the heroes of old, mighty men of high reno

Batchpool Those are very good questions. Based on what I know about the movie industry (which is nothing but I am learning) I woulf guess that they would us many things over again . Well definitely the jugg interior.

I'd actually recommend skipping ahead to when they get to the engineers' home world. The writers could put anything they want on board the juggernaut with Shaw and David, but this will effectively be choosing to fill a lot of time with the movie there instead of starting with what comes next. All we have now is anticipation, and until the movie delivers on that--with Shaw and David getting to the engineers' home world, nothing they show will be terribly interesting.
