We are also given Clues that the company was aware of a signal on LV 426 and as LV 223 is not far away, certainly closer to each other than the 2 year journey from Earth to LV 223.
David may have been able to interpret the transmission, even if all he had was a warning that there is nothing but Danger and that the place should be avoided....
With the star maps pointing to LV 223 it would be why David would with Weyland wait to visit LV 223 first as opposed to LV 426 even though they know LV 426 has something on it, they may know it is danger.
David would maybe also had recorded and sent back logs to the company or maybe not?
In either case it would be likely that the company would want to find out what became of Weyland and Prometheus and maybe investigate more into the LV 426 signal.
Now here is the problem.....
After Prometheus we know that not only is there a Deacon and few Hammerpedes but these are the least of the problems.
LV 223 still has a vast collection of Urns, it still has as David said many more Jugernaught Space Craft, and we do see what appear to maybe be more temples.
That means the horrors of Prometheus are just the tip of the iceburg of what is left....
So LV 223 has more Juggernaut Craft, they may have Urns on them, or the Temple the Prometheus crew visit may still have some unaffected Urns, or never mind how many more worms could be mutated or indeed what becomes of a Hammerpede or Deacon.
Suffice to say LV 223 would contain many rewards for the companies, and if David could translate Engineer language and fly a Juggernaut. well is David the only Android the company has ... NOPE!
Any ships on way to that system would also discover Shaws SOS and in combination with LV 426 one, would they be put off from finding out what is on LV 223.
You know... we best not go there as the last survivor of last crew to go there said place is just death now...
That wont stop them, as Ash showed the company had some idea of a specimen to be obtained on LV 426 (Alien DC) and surely by Alien some Androids may had visited LV 223 or had enough knowledge to kind of decode the LV 426 SOS.
Also by Aliens the company also had better idea of what was going on...
But in all instances they never did in Alien or Aliens have any real idea as to exactly what was in store only Ripley did.
So here is the BIGGEST PROBLEM.....
In the Alien and Aliens timelines they do not know as much about the Xeno as Ripley did after encountering it on the Nostromo...
And also why would the company send the Nostromo to LV 426, why not investigate LV 223 first.
And we know what lies on that world...
Thus something must have had to occurred in the timeline that rendered LV 223 as a fruitless place for answers and Tech much like LV 426 was after Aliens.
Somehow there must be nothing left on LV 223 for the company to find our use, and thus they turn there attentions to LV 426 in Alien.
Would this be covered in a future movie, by that a Ship goes to LV 223 but after there is nothing left to salvage?
Maybe, but i do think most of Paradise will be set around Shaw and David finding Paradise and getting some answers, and we would find out more about the Engineers and their culture and who created them etc.
