Prometheus 2 Movie Ideas I would like to see...... I want to know more about the Alien Xenomorths evolution . How they evolved and for what purpose they are really designed for. Or were they just designed to gather human life forms. For later impregnation from the facehuggers? I'm thinking some time travel forward and back ward through time is in order for the next film. More interaction with the engineers and Shaw asking why the humans were put on the earth. All the while explaining the engineers change of hart concerning the evolution of man kind . Learning more about the engineers beginnings and where they are now. Do they as well have to go in to cryostaysiss sleep when they travel across the galaxy ? Why has modern man never interacted with the engineers. As like they did with prehistoric man.

In my opinion the sequel should develop two plots in parallel. A twin ship of the vessel Prometheus, already secretly orbiting around the satellite from the start of the first mission, lands on LV223 to understand what went wrong. The "rescue" team is forced to face the adult Deacon. At the same time Shaw and David's head lands on Paradise. Shaw will repair David thanks to his instructions and then they will discover a hostile world and they will have new bad news about the fate of the human race. You will see them forced to face Engineers, and then, forced to escape from Paradise, after destroying the planet, driving an Engenieer ship. But an Engineer survivor (already infected by David to pursue the scientific interests of Weyland Corporation with the mutagenic liquid) in an attempt to chase them to avenge his race driving another Engineer ship will impact disastrously with the twin ship of the vessel Prometheus driven by the survivors of the "rescue" mission, also intentioned to leave LV223, but on a collision course with the Engineer ship that will perish on the nearby LV426 due to the failure. And while Shaw and David are returning to earth confident that they have saved the human race the chest of the castaway infected Engineer explodes giving birth to a Xenomorph Queen.

In this way there would be time to explain the origin of the Xenomorphs, for theological concepts related to the engineers and their hate for mankind that themselves have created and you could reconnect indirectly history in the Alien saga to not disappoint fans.

Well there is pretty much near unlimited scope for the franchise thats for sure. The movie and Ridleys comments do also tend to contradict things and confuse things further, i think Ridley needs to clean up the mess and set a factual plot.... By that he needs to explain more the Agenda of the Engineers and Purpose for our creation, as some clues could point to us assuming that we are just here for one reason and that is as Hosts for the Xeno.... But we cant be sure of that as we as of yet have no real answers as to how the Xeno came to be, and what purpose it has... We was left with the following answers and questions from Alien and Prometheus was a attempt to answer them, that instead evolved thanks to Lindeloff into a more deep plot and one that just gave us more questions and questions that open up a massive scope for the franchise that goes beyond Xenomorphs. You see in Alien Franchise we found out that a Ancient Giant being had crash landed his ship that was carrying a cargo of eggs, these Eggs contain a Organism that has its 3 stage life cycle... we all know what that is. We was shown that these Organisms can produce a Queen that can lay Eggs. But the movies never showed us if those Eggs was laid on the Derelict, or if they had been a Cargo but more clues point to the latter. Ridley gave us comments over the years that declare that the ship had been there for thousands of years, and it indeed carried a deadly cargo that had infected the pilot, thus pointing to the Eggs not being laid by a Queen after the crash and also that the event does not happen after the events of Prometheus. So we do not know where the Xeno came from, why the Space Jockey had them on ship and where he was going, comments by Ridley had gone from painting a picture of him being heroic and benevolent to then declaring that he was a pilot of a Bomber and its deadly cargo or bio weapons and his heroic deed was maybe just to warn his own kind. We did not know who this Space Jockey was, where he was from and why he got to LV 426 (but Ridley had said he crash landed while trying to quarantine his cargo after it got compromised). After Prometheus we found out that the Space Jockey was indeed a Giant Humanoid (or not so giant) and that these Engineers had for some purpose seeded life on Earth with a substance that broke down their DNA etc that then either joined with and mutated basic life or that it broke apart and then rejoined itself to form basic life. We are left that they had visited and taught mankind over the years and then they had stopped some 2000 years ago, at a time when they wanted to have us destroyed and their plan was to use a substance in the Urns that appears to have a ability to mutate life so that it carries traits related to the Xeno. Ultimately they fell victim to their own Bio Weapon and wiped out all but one.... We find out that the place they had there outpost is not there Homeworld and that they may not even be the supreme creator. So we are left still with barely scratching the surface of who these Engineers are, how they came to be, why they created us and what else have they created and why they wanted to drop the Goo on us. And we also do not know the exact connection with the Xeno or its origins... I hope we get to find out more about these Engineers and the scope of their race and what else have they created, this opens the franchise to more than just the Xenos.... it could grant it a near unlimited and diverse universe like Star Trek or Star Wars.... but that could lead to more questions and why any other races seem to not have connections with Mankind in the Alien Franchises. This would include the Engineers/Elders and their creators as well. I do hope we also find out the origins of the Xeno, how the Engineers came to contact with them or where they came from, how come the Goo seems to have the traits of the Xeno, and what is the connection to the Deacon Mural. So much scope.... But also so many in-continuities and plot holes... Including... 1) Would the companies on Earth want to investigate why they lost contact with Prometheus and send a rescue mission, and if so why does the companies in Alien etc not have much of a clue about the Engineers and indeed exactly what the Xeno is. 2) How come future movies they do not land or visit LV 223 but rather concentrate on LV 426, surely this means they are some distance apart of that by the time of Alien there is little or nothing left on LV 223. 3) What became of the other Engineers on Paradise or there creators, surely if they knew about our creation and indeed also the order to have us wiped out, then surely they would want to know what the outcome was.... And if they thought the mission had been a success surely they would still be in contact with LV 223 and wonder why they have no contact.... (unless the Last Engineer has contacted them to make some excuse that the mission was a success but LV 223 is compromised). But surely David and Shaw will find the homeworld and then any remaining Engineers or their creators would know about Mankind and that indeed we are still around... if they are hostile to us (which Ridley hints at) then surely they would want to come back and sort us out... Unless it takes so long to get to Paradise that by the time Shaw gets there the events of Alien Resurrection have long past.... or indeed that before the inhabitants of Paradise can do anything David unleashes Hell on them that prevents the Engineers and their creators from coming to Earth.... etc

What i think should happen is indeed Shaw and David find this Paradise and that they get answers to... 1) Who the Engineers are and Elders, what really is there purpose in the grand scheme of things. 2) Where they come from and how they came to be, i.e who created them and why. 3) Why was mankind created?, was we the intended outcome of their experiment and was the whole process something that was decreed by the Higher Hierarchy on Paradise or was we created without their knowledge or consent... 4) What became of Paradise, and how come we seem to have never been visited by the Engineers again after 2000 years ago. 5) Are we alone? are we the only creation/experiment these Engineers carried out. Then maybe also these... 6) Why was LV 223 outpost created, was it always intended and used as a Bio Weapons Facility for the purpose to wipe out or evolve mankind. 7) Why did the Paradise inhabitants abandon LV 223 by that why they never bothered to go and keep check upon the outcome of what ever project was ultimately occurring there. And i think the movie then needs to answer at very least these.... 8 ) What are the Xenomorphs, how did they come to be, was they a experiment? something they found or something they had created by experimenting on some other life form? did they come from the Black Goo or did the Black Goo come from them or what ever predates the Xenomorph. 9) Why did some Engineers seem to hold the Deacon like Mural in high regard and worship or show homage to the Xeno Life Cycle or its original ancestor. We dont really need to know what happened on LV 426 or what becomes of LV 223 as the answers to above would give us enough clues.... But by the end of the franchise i think one constant needs to be kept.... well these few.... That by the time the Nostromo enters LV 426 system, there must be nothing left of LV 223, nothing that the company can get hold of. That by that time line the only trace of anything connected to the Black Goo and Xenomorph Weapon is all that is left on LV 426. That either by that time, unless Shaw and David do not arrive at Paradise until long after the events of Alien Resurrection... that what ever is left on Paradise is ultimately destroyed at the hands of David by his unleashing of Hell on them and that this moment could give us all the clues we need regards to the Xeno. Basically to tie in that by the time Alien occurs... 1) The company can not obtain anything from LV 223 as its Destroyed. 2) The Engineers/Elders can not get to Earth as they become Destroyed. 3) That the company get some clues as to what they could potentially uncover from logs sent by David during Prometheus and Shaws SOS, and that there is nothing to find or left by the time of Alien but their is a faint chance that any remains of a potential Bio Weapon are only now to be found on the place of the Origin of the Alien SOS/Warning found on LV 426. By that the company have a idea that some Bio Weapon or Organism that can be of use to them, that is connected to what befell Prometheus and LV 223 is left only now on LV 426.

These are not plot-holes, just questions that haven't been answered yet. There is nothing stating The Company didn't know about the Xeno/ Engineers (just maybe only certain parties are 'privvy') Same thing with The Engineers checking on Lv223- maybe they are all dead, maybe a different faction wiped th out, this is just an open end, not a plot hole or error.

While i do agree with Most of what you guys are saying; I think Major Noob said it best, in (paraphrasing) "i don't want the entire thing spelled out for me" And i agree 100% after all we have put into this, the last thing i want is the 'Bond Villain' explanation of why they did it. I want the information to be there, yes; but I'd like the satisfaction of 'solving the puzzle.'

I am still up for ambiguity and all, but i think we need some answers and clues, i dont mean to be spoon fed, but at least more clarity on certain things... If Shaw and David find just a deserted place and some ruins that have odd vague imagery of the Engineers but they dont find any Engineers or Elders, but a another creature who basically then wants them dead and does not explain its connection with the Engineers then i think the movie would disappoint.... And by Plot Holes i do think at present those are plot holes i mentioned, maybe plot hole is not the right word? But lets just say Paradise finishes and does not show what became of LV 223 they just dont go into it and leave it a Mystery.... Then we would have to ask.... why certainly after the events of Aliens has no one in the company gone too or come across LV 223 that would still have various temples and many more Urns of Black Goo and as David said to Shaw there are many more Juggernaut Ships, they just Hijacked one. This is regardless of what becomes of the Deacon and Hammerpedes we could assume they could die out by the time line of Aliens...... But surely the Temples, Juggernauts and Urns would still be on LV 223.... And as far as the Timeline from Aliens to Alien 3 the Company and Mankind for the most part seem in the dark to LV 223 and the Space Jockey Race..... So by plot hole i mean the above as a example and so i feel they have to do something along the lines before the end the franchise to indicate that the reasons for the above not being in Aliens and Alien 3 etc... Is simply just as there is nothing left to find on LV 426 after Aliens, some event must have to occur on LV 223 to render the Temples and there contents useless...

I understand you point by they are just Questions and Open Ends.... That is my point this is what they are at present and that after the franchise is complete i think that some should be answered and tied up so that they do not become in continuities or plot holes. The Space Jockey was not a Plot Hole as such as very little was known and it would be thought he was a ancient race from far far away that happened to had ended up on LV 426..... and that chances of finding another was slim. Prometheus showed us that indeed mankind had found his Brothers, but by doing so the Company has proven it has knowledge of where Prometheus was going and why and what they hope they may find. And that it only took them about 2 years to get to LV 223 so surely at some point another Mankind Ship would come across LV 223 surely? And if they did how would they not come across the wreckage of Prometheus or figure roughly where the ship had landed due to Shaws Signal etc.....

well, i will be a "noob" by most standards but one of the biggest things I would like to see "resolved" is how the "Xenomorphs"became part artificial (the wiki-page uses biomechanical which is the most appropriate word)

The way I see it there are a few things we all want to know: 1. Who are/were the Engineers and why they created us & seemingly want to destroy us 2. Where did the Alien Xenomorphs come from 3. How do the events on LV223 connect with LV426 A possible plot line: Shaw & David get to Paradise, only to find its all space rubble. They land on an asteroid where David retrieves log data from a crashed ship they come across. The data explains existence of the Original Creators, a once powerful but now extinct race that was wiped out by the Engineers. The Creators, being more like us in size but by far more intelligent had created a “giant” servant race, The Engineers, to work for them. The Creators’ grand plan was to create a race similar to them in other worlds/galaxies whom they could pass on their knowledge to, one of those worlds being Earth for its ability to support life. Thus the Engineers were sent to create life on our planet. They kept watch and left signs of where, if humans evolved into an intelligent space-traveling race, they should go to rendezvous, that’s LV223. Being loyal servants they didn’t question their masters at first but at some point, 2000 years ago in human history, on realizing the Creators favored this new intelligent race on Earth and wanted to pass all knowledge to them, they rebelled and a war started in Paradise. That would explain why there was no contact and also why they hate humans and want us totally destroyed. It’s during the Great War that the Xenomorphs are used against both sides. I don’t really want an answer as to where they came from. Some mysteries are good left like that. In the end Paradise was lost, but not before the Creators hid some of their great knowledge on a remote planet for humanity to discover if they got there, what we call LV426! The space jockey in Alien was infected with a queen Xenomorph, he purposefully crashed the ship on LV426 to make sure humanity never succeeds in finding this hidden knowledge. To keep his kind away he activated a warning beacon (mistaken by Nostromo crew years later for an SOS). LV223 is taken over by the Engineers. Their sole mission there being to send a shipload of the goo to earth to end humans. An accident/invasion stops this plan from materializing, leaving the last Engineer the crew of Prometheus woke, whose last resort is to sleep and wait for humans to get to the rendezvous point before destroying them all! Shaw and David decide to destroy both planets. On the way he sends a secret message to the Company about the secret in LV426 (thus the Corporation’s interest in establishing a colony there). They want her dead, she kills him instead. But the ship is heavily damaged in the fight. Ultimately she discovers the ship will crash and is left with only enough arsenal to destroy one planet, she opts to take out LV223 (partly cos that’s where Holloway died), and sacrifice herself in the process. Unknown to her a rescue/salvage ship from earth had landed on LV223 during her time in Paradise. It fair to assume they are met by the same fate that befell the future crew of Nostromo!

At this point I just want to know two things: Why they want to destroy us ... and ... Who made them? By the way, I prefer the black goo as a tool for a great purpose and not simply a biological weapon.

These are the thoughts of the plot that I think the sequel could show, from the most probable to the most crazy and improbable: - The Engineers were created by an abstract and gigeresque God. The Black goo is the blood of this being or technology that engineers have stolen in the past, perhaps injuring or killing this god. -The plot will be a replica of the ideas about the Annunaki (I hope not) and so we see that the creators of the engineers are similar to them, and then we have a lot of clones in different sizes from the humanity to the God. -The Engineers were created by giants like elephants, and engineers have inherited (or stolen) much of the technological legacy of these giants. -Engineers are future humans who traveled to the past to improve the genetic of their ancestors (ie us) and therefore their own genetic. probably because they are trying to achieve genetic purity of their creators (this could fit with the Gigeresque God).

MemberOvomorphAug-04-2013 6:12 PM
Besides destruction is only the beginning of creation, that's why I think the black goo is an evolutionary leap ... but if so ... What for? -Could be a way to resurrect their creators? Or to create creatures based on them? -On the other hand the black goo may result from the primordial black goo injected into an ancestor of the xenomorphs. The final step is the black goo from the urns with the DNA of the ancestor and we may assume that the original creatures have disintegrated. -Pluss maybe the two types of black goo are the same and only the engineers can create constructive life (sacrifice engineer). Conversely lesser beings such as worms or humans, have a genetic imperfect and can only create monstrosities. In conclusion and agree to this last idea, the xenomoprh is the fate of mankind and the reason of why the engineers are disappointed, because we can not be at the same level of our creators and we only serve to unleash hell and death.

It is impossible to guess what will happen in the sequel to Prometheus, since the writers job is to make it impossible to guess, but there are plenty of things you can be sure you won't see. You won't see the Deacon. You won't see any queens. You won't see Vickers. You won't see any Predators. You won't see Shaw impregnated with any more alien life. You won't see David without his body for more than one scene. The creatures will be "different, but the same". There will be some sort of "face hugger" and then some sort of "chest' or "body burster". They will probably just use the unused idea of what was going to happen to Holloway, where it comes out of the body in several places at once. The creatures will look different, but will kill people, just the same. Where are they going to find these people? It doesn't matter, they'll think of something. I'm guessing a Yutani ship was tailing The Prometheus, hoping to cash in. Maybe their crew will meet with Shaw and David and provide the required body count, before they get to Paradise. IF this film is ever made, and that's a huge "if", it will be about Shaw, and her quest for answers. Monsters will be tossed in, of course, because SOMETHING has to happen, but I think Ridley is tired of xenos, face huggers and chest bursters.
