MemberMothra LarvaeMay-16-2013 8:29 PMGood question...I'd like to see 275 - 300 ft or so, I guess Heisei. That hint pic with the buildings thrashed / tipped over would indicate a massive monster.
KENNYO
MemberMothra LarvaeMay-16-2013 10:41 PM400 feet like the original. Raymond Burr said as tall as a 40 story building. He needs to be massive and cause massive destruction.

MemberMothra LarvaeMay-18-2013 2:20 PMI want him to be taller than the building of the cities that he is stomping on. 250-400 would be great

MemberMothra LarvaeMay-19-2013 10:56 AMIn light of the PACIFIC RIM movie.. I would say.. 100 meters.
MiketheG7453
MemberMothra LarvaeMay-19-2013 7:44 PMYes...in light of PACIFIC RIM,....since most of these monsters top out around 300 feet or so,....I say he should be no less than 400 feet....he's gotta be bigger than the monsters from PACIFIC RIM.

MemberMothra LarvaeMay-20-2013 1:52 AM400feet like the original gojira.
KING KAIJU
MemberMothra LarvaeMay-20-2013 10:04 AM400 feet tall like in the original godzilla in the american theatre version because i would like godzilla to be as big as possible without surpassing any of his original sizes.
KING KAIJU
1 small step for kaiju
1 giant step for godzilla!!!!

MemberMothra LarvaeMay-25-2013 7:55 AMi think he should be somewhere from 500 to 800 feet tall so that those sky scrapers are not towering over him.

MemberMothra LarvaeMay-30-2013 2:25 AMJust think if he was as big as Kronos.........

MemberMothra LarvaeJun-03-2013 12:17 PMGodzilla was 300 feet tall in the 90s films, my favorite design being the 1991 Godzilla. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Heb5AcZ_wlQ
To me, that is Godzilla. :)

MemberMothra LarvaeJun-05-2013 3:41 AMmake him bigger than 100 meters, make him the end of the world type of nightmare, a truly daunting and imposing figure of pure power and unstoppability.
GGzilla
MemberMothra LarvaeJun-08-2013 3:36 AMOnly in the english dub was he 400 feet tall. He was actually 50 meters tall or 167 feet. And he still was terrifying.
G-Bul
MemberMothra LarvaeJun-20-2013 3:07 PMYeah, he should be REALLY TALL! Everything gets bigger, especially skyscrapers, so he has to keep up!
I saw all the G-movies, except Revenge of Godzilla and always had a strange feeling if he was shorter than a building.
It´s Big G, he´s not there to interact with humans, he´s a walking, atomicbreathing mountain.
height should be about 500 meters / ~ 1600ft

MemberMothra LarvaeJun-22-2013 4:03 PMGodzilla was always 50 meters tall in the original, just the same as all the Showa series. Then he was 80 meters in 1985 and Biollante. 100 in the rest of the 90's series. Then he was 100 meters again in Final Wars, but he was 55 meters tall in the rest of the millennium series.
However because of Pacific Rim, he will probably be 100 meters in the new film.

MemberMothra LarvaeAug-05-2013 8:49 PMI agree with a lot of what everyone ells stated Godzilla showed be about 100m tall about the same size of the larger kaiju in Pacific Rim a category 4 or 5. I heard Guillermo del Toro would like to do a Pacific Rim Godzilla cross over. That would be epic!!!!!!
InstinctiveGigan
MemberMothra LarvaeAug-05-2013 8:52 PMI'd say 400-500 meters. The bigger Godzilla is, the more epic.
Epic A
MemberMothra LarvaeAug-05-2013 9:26 PMHe should be at least 350 feet tall
Mecha-Godzilla
MemberMothra LarvaeAug-06-2013 9:57 AMI'd like him to be slighty over the size if the Heisei series

AdminGodzillaAug-18-2013 1:18 PMIn the Japanese films I always preferred it when Godzilla was smaller... around 50-80 meters. That way the miniatures looked more detailed and it was easier to get some low angle shots to make him look truly large.
In the later 90s movies and Final Wars, he was 100 meters and the miniatures weren't very detailed because you can only add so many nuances when the monster is supposed to be so big. He hardly ever really looked 100 meters and it often resulted in some sloppy special effects.
Now I don't think that's going to be an issue with the new movie because Godzilla is being brought to life with western visual effects. Still, I wanted Godzilla to be able to relate to the human characters on some physical level and sometimes being so big makes it hard to notice the characters in question.
Personally I'd prefer a slightly smaller, 60-80 meter Godzilla, but rumor has it this will be the largest Godzilla yet at 100-120 meters tall.
