Ripley Clone 8
MemberOvomorphJul-30-2012 10:37 PMI'd like to see Shaw and David to discover in full the Engineers homeworld and maybe discover some of the revelations covering the bio-weapons the Engineers have. What happends if the bio-weapons somehow escape and the Engineers must wage a war on their creations. Shaw and David band together for a final stand to eliminate the possibility of the bio-weapons escaping. But some of the engineers children have other plans. Thats where we see the derelict come into play. One Engineer manages to escape but his only option is to crash land on LV-426.

MemberOvomorphJul-30-2012 11:09 PMWould love to see the homeworld as well. Lots of Giger goodness. Still convinced that the derelict crash is the same time as the original outbrake on LV-223 or older. (Bodies on LV-223 were in roughly the same condition.) So i don't expect a real time crash. A flashback would be nice. Some info on the origin of the original alien and how they adapted it's DNA to the black ooze and the deacon.
I may work for the company, but im really an OK guy.

MemberOvomorphJul-31-2012 1:45 AMI have in my mind an image of The Temptation of St Thomas by Salvador Dali; in the foreground of the image, transpose the believer DR ELIZABETH SHAW. Hang on a minute, I'll go find it.

MemberOvomorphJul-31-2012 2:37 AMwell the aliens seem to have a knack for hitch-hiking... maybe the deacon will just so happen to sneak on the ship shaw and david are on. then we will get to see its life cycle.
im sure the space jockeys wouldnt be too happy about a human showing up in one of their ships with a crazy mutant monster along for the ride.
long shot i know but out of the entire nostromo what were the chances the xeno being in the escape pod of ALL places!?
they may use the same formula ^_^

MemberOvomorphJul-31-2012 9:20 AMI really want there to be a sequel and I hope they don't ruin it by turning it into another pseudo-sexual death and gore alien crapfest. I just want it to focus on Shaw/David, the engineers, their culture and homeworld. No aliens, no greedy corporate interference. That's been done to death in all the alien films and it's time for something new.

MemberOvomorphJul-31-2012 9:32 AMSpaceNik:
well, sadly, without the gore and death there is no sequel. Plus, The Weyland Yutani merger is a pretty much a given now that both Weyland and Vickers are dead and gone.

MemberOvomorphJul-31-2012 10:19 AMA story to blow our minds that was all part of a big over all idea they had from the start - so that all the strange bits made sense in prometheus!
The god like being was mind controlling them - thats why there characters seem to change in a split second from clever to stupid - yesh of course :P ! It was all a part of an intergalactic game for god beings....

LOL. that would actually make more sense the way it turned out to be...

MemberOvomorphJul-31-2012 10:53 AMDavid: It is most definitely possible to make a great film without it being gory. It just takes imagination. Something I've noticed alien fanboys are completely lacking in. They just want the same film rehashed over and over. There's nothing imaginative, remotely interesting or even scary about that at this point.

MemberOvomorphJul-31-2012 11:34 AMThey burned all possible chances of making a good film by creating prometheus. None of the ideas appealed. Most of the box office money is from the fan base in assumption it will turn out good. That is the reason there is a lot of criticism, parody and ridicule stuff on prometheus. I don't expect anything great from paradise.
Uncertainty is the only certainty there is, and knowing how to live with insecurity is the only security.

well, can't say yes or no cause I'm not a "fan" in the true sense of it. But Bob hitting Weyland with David's head was super fun. Me Likes.

MemberOvomorphJul-31-2012 2:56 PMI like the idea that, in an around-about-way, the Juggernaught that Shaw/David-Head is 'piloting' some how comes back into the possession of the Engineers and it is that particular ship (minus Shaw and David-Head) that is the very same one that ends-up on LV-426 for Dallas and co. to find. That would be a fitting, yet intriguing rounding up of 'events'. How and why it comes to be in the possession of the dead Engineer to then end-up in the derilict state that it was found is a visual journey that would be very compelling to see happen upon film.

MemberOvomorphJul-31-2012 7:35 PMI would like to know more about Engineers but Deacon things can be a nice source of gore and death. It would be interesting to see a story from two perspectives:
-The company (Weyland Yutani or) will not stand idly by after seeing that something has happened to the crew of the Prometheus. Obviously not that worries them the fate of their workers, just crazy to find out what the crew discovered earlier.
-And obviously the fate of Shaw & David. Here you could see more profound effects on society and culture of engineers. Although it would also be interesting to see the current state of the race. Who knows, maybe they have had wars in the past.
Btw Here you can see some of my personal wishes with a sequel

MemberOvomorphOct-31-2012 11:51 PMI want to see the Paradise film as all beautiful and perfect without any alien and keep the audience guessing what is Ridley bags of tricks till the two third of the film and then something explode in the face of the audience.....

MemberOvomorphJan-28-2013 10:17 PMHave to agree with SpaceNik. I'm not in the mood for another horror-fest. I think Prometheus was a great introduction to a broader story and I like that it wasn't all straightforward (makes it seem more real/like the genuine mystery of a RL archaeological dig - there are always more questions than answers), and I was worried that the leads would be dull, but Shaw & David are excellent. Can't wait to see how they interact in the next one.

MemberOvomorphFeb-13-2013 4:23 PM@Mu the etymology of "Paradise" is literally Garden of Eden.
Does anyone else see how Shaw & David are like modern counterparts to Adam & Eve?
