I am going to leave the thoughts to you guys. I realize that having new human characters in the sequel is very important and I am very interested in knowing how you think that is going to happen. I have read everything about this film and seen it multiple times. I will gladly form my own argument once I get some intelligent responses. thanks!

Well we have two options for that.... 1) The movie will show a mission from Earth to LV 223 by Weyland-Yutani. 2) Shaw and David head to their home world where they find out that humanoids or mankind was not only seeded on Earth but also in the Engineers home world system or that the Engineers had captured some Humans from the past and set up a colony of us near their home world. As lets face it a movie about a broken Android and a lone Female Human who then comes across just Engineers may not be so interesting, well not need many actors etc.

Saying that i loved the Engineer Elders idea... I came across this just... Seems maybe that deleted scene had more than one Engineer and more than one Elder one. I think they should have kept it in.... But like how i understand why Ridley never used the cool Fifield Hybrid and Stuck with the bland mutant look because he wanted to keep Alien DNA mainly until the latter stages of the movie. Maybe Ridley felt that with Prometheus 2 most likely going to cover the Engineer race and their home world, he felt that showing many of them at the start of Prometheus would give away too much, well not so much give away just maybe he wanted to savoir the Elders for Prometheus 2. Maybe Prometheus 2 would start with or contain the same Flash Back, maybe when Shaw asks for Answers the Elder will tell her but we get it given to us via a flash back with a dialog over the top. Thus they could reuse that cut out scene for Prometheus 2 and show it up to the point where the Sacrificial Engineer walks off and heads to the Water Fall. We would then thus realize what happens next. There is so much potential as far as the Engineers goes, so many possibilities, they seem to have older ones do they age but only at a more slower rate than mankind? Are the Elders the same as the Engineers or did they create them in their image or if the Elders are just older Engineers was the whole Engineer race created by some other higher being or race.

There is NOTHING more interesting to me about this reboot than the Engineers and everything about their culture. They are essentially (potentially) the embodiment of what we as humans THINK we want to be: —Intergalactic spacefarers —"Eternal" —Skilled manipulators of "nature" Yet clearly their existence is far from our idealized "perfect." The only problem with a fascinating film happening on their world with only Shaw there as a human ambassador is one of communication. I'm sure that they could solve that with the right cocktail, though. If Ridley wants extensive communication to happen, he'll teach them (the Engineers) English via a biodidactic process. Alas, what is more likely is that there's some groups of "human slaves" there that need freeing or some such. PLEASE, JEEEBUS, don't let that happen... On LV-223 Vickers is still alive and has two years of life support in her module (according to Janek). That's just enough time for one of her other siblings or cousins to show up and all hell to break out there again with Spike 2.0, et al.

There is one major issue we will have to address in a sequel introducing new human characters though... Look at the first Alien movie. Those astronauts had no CLUE what that space jockey was or the ship that it was in. This means that whoever is in the sequel will have to never return to earth including Shaw and David or everyone on eath would know who the space jockeys were and the ships that carry them. I have a sad thought.... perhaps ripley really finished the movie with liz going up into the stars searching for her maker because he realized "F*ck!!! I cant make her go home because that ship would be put on display and everyone with a television would know what it is!!!" maybe he simply realized that this is the only way and a sequel is just simply not going to happen... saying that though, im sure there is a way to incorporate a new cast of human crew members, but still preserve the ignorance of everyone on board the ship in the first Alien movie. perhaps this isnt the same universe...like the amazing spiderman idea. (Please read forum rules on use of profanity... thanks Freeze)

I believe that Weyland industries sends out a new vessel in order to investigate what happened to the Prometheus crew. They then find the Juggernaut with David and Shaw onboard drifting in outer space due to some kind of malfunction with either the ship or David since he had his head torn off, causing him to set out while they are on their way to the Engineers' home planet. David is the one navigating the ship. Or perhaps they pick up its signal from one of the planets (presumably the one with the ring that looks like Saturn) after having crash-landed. In both cases I think Shaw is lying in one of the hybernation pods on the ship when she is found.

That definitely is the #1 thought of introducing her for the sequel. She will definitely be in a hybernation pod. Problem is she deliberately told them not to return. The thing is....peter weyland is a very important man. I heard trillion dollar journey did you not? this means that it is worth finding him and figuring out what happened since he is probably still worth a pretty penny back on earth. That is probably for a new crew will somehow rendevous with Liz and david. maybe vickers is still alive too and manages to get into her safety hub avoiding the proto alien inside. Remember the squid is dead so all she has to worry about is the the proto alien. Regardless of vickers fate, I strongly believe that a crew returning to the ruins of prometheus will pick up that proto alien and bring it on board. Director said the sequel will not be another alien flick though so....that may not be the case.

Yeah, like some of you said, I figured that people would receive Shaw's final report and disregard what she said about not going to investigate. Perhaps there would be two seperate plotlines throughout that cross paths in the end/middle/climax? Although, it's hard to say how the investigative crew would know where to go in order to cross paths, so I'm probably wrong.

Crossing a movie like some sort of lord of the rings thing would NOT be a good idea. They would need to meet up within the first 15 minutes of the film. The biggest question still rages on...how the hell are we going to introduce new human cast members. Vickers is dead lol. even if she made it back to her hub shed be TORN APART by the proto-alien. so....thats out. only thing we got is Weyland corp disobeying shaws order and coming to the planet and then somehow rendevous with her and Davey god knows where. THINK RADICALLY HERE! Maybe the Engineer's planet is in THAT solar system.....or closer to earth than anyone could possible imagine. in that second final scene where shaw leaves and says "and im still searching" gives us all a shiver....what if we never see her again. remember...she can't come home. EVER!!!! and she cant be disappointed this time (SHE ALREADY WAS IN PROMETHEUS). If they do make a movie she is going to stay with the engineers forever. NEVER leave that planet. and the directors cant meet god no matter what ridley says. jesus freaks will be up ridleys ASS. he said that it isnt going to be another alien film...well... I don't see any other way they are going to make it. ...and how they hell will this crew meet up with Shaw??? She peaced out man. She doesn't want anything to do with other people. I think leaving her looking is a great was to finish the franchise personally lol..... I HATE SAYING THAT!!! beause I want a sequel more than any of you people....well...probably....I think about it all day so maybe. Will shaw miss the companionship of other human beings? Or has she lost touch since the death of holloway. ****FINAL THOUGHT!!!! Weyland corp sends a vessel to investigate the Prometheus tragedy.... on the other side, you see Shaw meeting the engineers and realizing that the elders aren't as mean as the military ones you see in the film. Shaw hates Weyland corp. She will side with the engineers and travel with them back to the moon upon which they wage war on this new crew. The proto alien will be included as well as the green crystal and many answers about the alien mural and ancient sacraficial rituals. either that or shaw wants to tell these people about the true answers and wants to travel back home with her own kind because the engineers wont take her home themselves. The proto alien causes issues and the crew dies. Once Shaw realizes there is nothing back home for her she decides to live with the engineers forever.******

Weyland Industries will send a rescue team for sure to look for their owner. Deacon will impregnate them.

Assuming the question is "How do you expect the new human characters to get introduced in the next prequel?" What a GREAT question! I can't see them making the next sequel with a majority of Engineers. It would lack mystery and human drama. Do you agree? Humans would own the core of the screenplay. I love the idea of an Engineer home planet with humans on it. Knowing Ridley, they'll be tortured souls with an unescapable burden, like slavery or a disease, thrust upon them by the Engineers. I've got more ideas but I'll stop there for now. Too unbelievable?

Hmmm... I had this chilling thought that Deacon figures stuff out and it manages to pilot a Juggernaut towards the Engineer's home world. So Shaw and David arrive peacefully and all seems well and then lo-and-behold a second arrival and that's when all shit breaks loose. Because we really don't know the intellectual capacity of Deacon. It's an unlikely concept though... I think we will see two story threads: of course Shaw and David arriving on the home world, while a second Weyland expedition arrives on LV-226 to investigate what went down. At some point, we need to have Earth and the Engineers intersect again, somehow...

Either way there are potential risks as far as in continuity.... 1) If Weyland Yutani send a mission many years after Prometheus but prior to Alien, then we are left with two possibilities. a) They come across the Deacon and Hammerpedes in which case we get a movie thats basically similar to Alien Franchise just slightly different Xeno. b) The crew come into contact and perform their own experiments with the Urns (i.e they dont find the Deacon or Hammerpedes) but this would be similar to Prometheus. Also with either of the above the only way this would lead no plot holes with regards to Alien universe is if again no body gets off LV 223 and back to Earth Alive. As otherwise be the Time of Alien and Aliens Earth/Weyland Yutani would surely have more knowledge about the Organisms and LV 223 than they seemed to do in Alien/Aliens and why go to LV 426 and not LV 223 again? 2) Shaw and David go visit the Home World, but if they find the Engineer Elders or which ever greater power then there will be plot holes unless. a) They dont know about Earth and do not want to wipe us out or visit us. b) They are all long dead and gone.. c) They become wiped out by the end of Prometheus 2/3 and prior to Alien.

As far as Humans..... Well how do we know that Earth was the only planet that Mankind or similar race was seeded to? A Klingon, a Vulcan, and a Cardassian are all Humanoid looking and played by Human Actors in Star Trek and so we could use Actors in Prometheus 2 to play non Human but Humanoid creations of other Engineers. Or maybe there are more colonies of Humans in the Galaxy?

For the sequel, how about to use Engineer's angle directly to explain all of the things? I think it will be quite interesting...

I dunno man, I think this is one of the biggest barriers to get past in order to get a sequel to start production. look....I want a sequel so badly. I love alien and there have been too many shit assfuck alien movies. Finally Ridley gets back on board and makes another flick that is better than the other shitstain flicks made by all these two-bit directors. If they do make a sequel...I want it to be worth seeing. Unfortunately, I just don't see them having much of a story. :(

i personally cant think of a great idea for a sequel, but a lot of people seem to be forgetting something. in alien, the nostromo was rerouted because of the signal, but the orders were to bring back the specimen at all costs(which means they know what is on lv 426). also in aliens, people pretend ripley is crazy. but during the soldiers debriefing, the guy in charge said xenomorphs may be involved, so they proved they knew something all along. while i dont think a sequel could involve anyone returning home to earth, but the company will know a lot about the original xenomorph at one point. if sir scott gets two or three more films, which probably wont happen, he would somehow tie something like that in. no matter how many times he says the movie(s) will get away from, "just another alien film.!" ;)

I think it will have to revolve around lv223. There were temples/vessels that we didnt get around in seeing. Perhaps Vickers is still alive and goes on her own quest. Besides they have to get more in depth with the deacon

Frankly, the less humans in it the better. A low-key, but visually stunning and FRIGHTENING film with just Shaw and David communicating the plot in 'human' terms to the audience would be superb and - refreshing. Who needs more humans to clutter the plot? I want to see a truly ALIEN world, ALIEN vistas, ALIEN 'sky at night' and ALIEN beings. No more unnecessary humans surplus to requirements.
