This Friday, July 11th, the long awaited, eagerly anticipated, critically acclaimed second instalment to 20th Century Fox's the Planet of the Apes prequel reboot trilogy; Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, hits theaters. Being a prequel trilogy, the end, the conclusion is already known, buts as Rise of the Planet of the Apes o effectively demonstrated, it is not the destination that matters, but the journey - the how and the why behind the events that lead us to the inevitable known.
Directed by Matt Reeves (Cloverfield) and starring Gary Oldman, Jason Clarke, Keri Russell, Kodi Smit-McPhee and Andy Serkis, the movie brings the last few surviving humans on a collision course with Caesar and his growing ape empire, bringing to the surface old hatreds, blames and prejudices that could divide the two sides forever.
