The Dino-Bots were the first sub-group/faction to appear in the Transformers. Although the Dino-Bots do transform into Dinosaurs, the Dinosaurs were always mechanical in appearance, looking more lke Dinosaur Mechs than actual real life Dinosaurs - that level of transformation was not seen until 2003's animated series Transformers: Beast Wars.
