A new Pacific Rim Uprising movie trailer has been released online today as an exclusive from IMAX Cinemas! Following the release of another one of their exclusive Pacific Rim Uprising posters which you can see below, this new trailer packs 2500 tons of new footage, showcasing more Kaiju on Jaeger violence as well as footage which highlights some of the Kaiju's new abilities! We also get a great shot of some of the Jaegers' own new weapons. Visually, this trailer outperforms the previous versions with more polished CGI and an overall improved aesthetic for both the Jaegers and Kaiju. Steven S. DeKnight is set to direct Legendary's PACIFIC RIM 2 (Pacific Rim Uprising), the follow-up to the epic action-adventure Guillermo del Toro created with 2013's hit original film, with a script penned by Zak Penn, Jon Spaights and del Toro. The producers are Thomas Tull, Jon Jashni, del Toro, Mary Parent and Callum Greene. Jillian Share will executive produce. Universal Pictures will release the film worldwide in 3D.
Directed by Steven S. DeKnight, Pacific Rim Uprising's release date is March 23rd, 2018.
