Today Season 1 of The Mandalorian concluded with a brilliant finale and immediately following its stream this morning, director Jon Favreau announced the release date for The Mandalorian Season 2 along with a tease of an iconic Star Wars alien which will be making a comeback in the next chapter!
Taking to Twitter to announce the Fall 2020 release date, Favreau shared the following:
Fans will be quick to notice the Alien species Favreau teased is that of a Gamorrean - a pig-like humanoid, best known as the guards from Jabba the Hutt's palace.
Season 1 of the Mandalorian was a major success for Disney and their new streaming service, so a second season was inevitable, however it's great to have a release date set in stone to look forward to!
