A batch of new Alien: Covenant images have made their way online recently and they all seem to reveal some pretty interesting details about the film's plot. Obviously, some of these images may contain spoilers for some, so be cautious when reading on if you choose to do so.

David Bombards Paradise

In the following image (courtesy of Empire), we see David, with his blonde hair still, standing re-attached to his android body unleashing a full payload of the Black Goo-filled urns on board his stolen Engineer Juggernaut.

David Bombards Paradise

We see below are the hordes of Humanoid/Engineer (still up for debate) beings who have gathered in the city's oval center to welcome the arriving ship. It's possible that these beings too, worshiped the Engineer race we saw in Prometheus and assumed that David and Shaw's arrival was some form of "second coming". It's evident these Humanoids reside in a relatively small space on this planet, insinuating a limited population. Surely if these were Engineers, they would view an approaching Juggernaut ship the same way we view planes in the sky - as nothing new or exciting.

David's arrival in this ship sparked enough excitement among the locals that it brought them out in droves to witness its arrival - much the way Humanity would react if a massive U.F.O arrived out of nowhere on Earth. This leads me to believe these beings are not the same Engineers from Prometheus and are more inline with Humanity than Godly beings.

Weyland and David

This next image shows Weyland and David, from a flashback scene in Alien: Covenant. The imagery here is fascinating as it places David in a white suit while Weyland wears dark green or black.

Weyland and David

The white suit David wears almost symbolizes purity and innocence - a time before his own ambitions took hold and before he developed a detest for mankind. This imagery could suggest the moment prior to Weyland's corruption of David - unleashing a Pandora's box of unintentional programming so to speak, which would eventually lead David to develop his own secret agendas - ones which opposed the advancement of the Human race.

Adult Neomorph Feasting

The following image gives us a much clearer look at the Neomorph image shown in the recent Empire Magazine issue. It shows an adult Neomorph feasting on one of the deceased Covenant crew members. We can see the Neomorph has wrapped its tail around the dead body's leg and that the head of the victim seems to have been completely mangled.

Adult Neomorph

The savage nature of the Neomorph clearly will make for some brutal death scenes...

David or Walter?

The next two images surfaced recently in a new article on ClickTheCity. The first image shows David or Walter, with fresh bandages covering wounds to his face:

David or Walter?

In previous images, we saw who we believed to be Walter with scars, very similar to where these bandages are placed.

Could Walter have had a run-in with a Neomorph? Or are these scars evidence of a different struggle? Could this actually be David as some members have theorized? Perhaps David attempts to swap places with Walter to gain access to the 2,000 colonists on-board the Covenant. After all, David will wish to continue his experiements in pursuit of creating the perfect organism... Makes you wonder!

Finally, we have a new still of Daniels, with a bloodied forehead. This looks to be from her dual with the Xeno/Protomorph on board the Covenant shuttle. It looks like she's holding something in her hands - could be a detonator? Looking up, it's possible her and Tennessee attempt to blow up the shuttle while the Xeno/Protomorph is onboard and this is the moment before or immediately after Daniels pulls the trigger.

I guess one of the points to David unleashing the goo on the habitants is to demonstrate (to the viewers) how awful that weapon would be, had the engineers made it to earth.

The images of the "bombardment" are awesome.  I am really starting to get antsy.

The landing hangar in the center opened and those humanoid beings were expecting the juggernaut to land, but it didn't.It instead positioned itself above them, thats why they all looked confused in the sky and were probably thinking "Wtf,why isn't it landing?" so they all gathered to see whats going on.

And then when the juggernaut's hangar opened and black goo ampules started falling they were like "Oh s#$t" and started running, but it was too late.

Thats my assumption.

Maybe they are gathered because their technology has advanced, and so seeing such an ancient ship like the Juggernaut is enough for concern

Fascinating! How was the Entertainment Weekly image sourced?

Ain't that adult neomorph different from the neos attacking in the wheat field? Could it be the mutant Covenant crew, who was infected by spores and had the spikes bursting out from his back in the trailer?

Another possibility is the Engineers and their city were a colony, although quite well built-up, and perhaps they had been all on their own for a long time, with rare re-supply/contact vessels, and that's what they were expecting??

The images of David dumping the huge payload of ampules is so depressing. Fills me with dread. Probably the most ominous part of the film. This is going to be hard to shake. So horrible.

I have been studying the pics of the inside of the ship where David is standing.

David is not on the Juggernaut!

He is on the much bigger space craft that is vertical!

This means that David either took control of this bigger ship or him and Shaw went to another planet and got the ship from somewhere else.

The vertical ribbing of the ship is the same that appears in the design of the other pic of the larger ship. David is on the larger ship and not on the Juggernaut.

The space craft is hovering too and it has not touched the ground. David had to get aboard it from somewhere else. I do not think he walked into the city and just took it. It would seem reasonable that he and Dr. Shaw made a stop somewhere else to get the much larger ship.

Also I suspect that the smaller Juggernaut comes out of the center landing pad to attack the larger ship and when it does David shoots it down with the bigger ship and that is why the Juggernaut crashes in the forest.

It makes no sense to just have a giant ship sitting there in the scene for nothing, then show a separate Juggernaut in battle and then second Juggernaut that crash lands for some other reason.

I think is very possible that David want to see the devastating result of the Engineers weapon and that is to destroy an entire civilization. After all this is the purpose of this weapon. This planet with this diffrent Engineers, has ofer the perfect oportunity for David. I  think also David want to expierence the feeling of a destroyer and as life giver. After all the mission from Earth was finish one way or another and he maybe have he s new own goals, with a behavior being and acting like some God or something.
