Welcome to a New World of Gods and Monsters…
It is with these words, first spoken by the infamous Dr. Pretorius in 1935’s Bride of Frankenstein, that Universal unleashes its first sneak peek at the studio’s new interpretation of The Mummy, opening in theaters June 9th, 2017.
The brief teaser for Universal’s first entry in its highly anticipated Monsters Cinematic Universe (also set to give us new versions of Frankenstein, his Bride, the Invisible Man, the Creature from the Black Lagoon, Van Helsing, and others) showcases brief shots of Tom Cruise’s character, Sofia Boutella as the titular monster, and even Russel Crowe’s Dr. Jekyll. The teaser ends with the promise of a full trailer coming this Sunday.
