At over 15 million views, the Jurassic World trailer has gained some serious momentum online and fans everywhere are buzzing off the hype! Aside from a few who have misplaced concerns about the trailer's visual effects, the overall reaction to the trailer's debut was a positive one. At first glance, the trailer was aw-inspiring, nostalgic, fun, dark, and suspenseful all at once. But upon viewing it in more detail, one can pick out some very obvious homages to Spielberg's original Jurassic Park. Below, we've listed off these homages, enjoy..

#1 - The arrival to Isla Nublar

The arrival sequence to Isla Nublar is nearly identical to Jurassic Park's introduction. Except instead of a helicopter, Masrani prefers to shuttle visitors in via a Ferry. Check out the two shots below, there's no denying this obvious nod to the original:

#2 - Kids love theme parks.. Their parents don't

In Jurassic Park and again in Jurassic World, a set of parents leave their kids with complete strangers for the weekend, knowing they'll be mere feet away from Dinosaurs... some of which that like the taste of people. Both Jurassic Park and Jurassic World feature two kids, both siblings, and relatively the same age apart.

#3 - "What do they got in there, King Kong?"

There's no denying the gates to Jurassic World are nearly identical to those of Jurassic Park. Not much else needs to be said here, except that it's great to see that Colin chose to keep these aspects of the film so nostalgic.

#4 - Galli... Galli... Gallimimus!

The Gallimimus Valley seen in the Jurassic World trailer is identical to the one seen in Jurassic Park. Even being filmed on the same plains from the first film, this scene gets the nostalgia flowing for many of us.

#5 - The Watering Hole

One overlooked homage is the watering hole originally seen in one of the early scenes in Jurassic Park. In one of the Jurassic World trailer cutscenes, we see a very similar sequence featuring different Dinosaurs and a more dense jungle surrounding. Never the less, the homage is there:

#6 - Wonder and Awe

That monumental moment when you believed Dinosaurs were real... This awe-inspiring scene was recreated again for the Jurassic World trailer, in a very similar tracking shot with musical tone:

#7 - Where's the goat?!... er... Shark

The suspenseful and thrilling scene involving the feeding of a T-Rex with a Goat was recreated except instead of a Goat, Colin decided to use a Great White shark and instead of a T-Rex, a Mosasaurus - a massive marine reptile. The feeding sequence is identical and the massive jaws teased are also a clear homage:

#8 - The Mosquito

There's no mistaking this homage. The mosquito in amber is a definite nod to Jurassic Park and the film's interesting scientific premise.

#9 - The Lab

The tour during Jurassic Park's early scenes revealed the InGen labs and revealed their advanced processes for bringing Dinosaurs back to life. Again in Jurassic World, this futuristic, clean, white lab and DInosaur eggs are seen:

#10 - Mr. DNA... er Ms. DNA

This one might be a stretch, but in Jurassic Park, the process for which InGen creates Dinosaurs was narrated by an animated DNA sequence named "Dr. DNA". In the Jurassic World trailer, it's Bryce Howard's character who explains the research and development processes behind this new park. In one of the cutscenes, you even see a DNA sequence in the background as she explains these new technologies. Coincidence? I think not.

#11 - Something gets loose

This one if obvious. Except in Jurassic Park, Muldoon investigates a broken Raptor enclosure. In Jurassic World, the Muldoon-like character Owen, portrayed by Chris Pratt investigates a busted up D-Rex enclosure:

#12 - "Pack Up Your Things and Leave Now"

Just like in Jurassic Park something goes wrong. We're not sure if it's due to weather again in Jurassic World, but Chris Pratt tells Bryce Howard that they need to close the park and evacuate the island. This line is executed in a similar fashion as when Samuel Jackson tells Hammond and the people working at Jurassic Park to "pack up their things and leave now" and that they're shutting the park down. "DAMN"

#13 - Muldoon lives... in spirit

As mentioned above, Chris Pratt's Owen is a definite emulation of the Muldoon character from Jurassic Park. Both rock a rifle and have no fear about entering the wilderness in pursuit of carniverous Dinosaurs. He's also extremely knowledgable about the Dinosaurs. The only difference - Muldoon thought all the Raptors should be destroyed, while Owen thinks they should all be trained to hunt D-Rexes... Either way, it's a homage we're phsyced about:

#14 - The Foot shot

The pinnacle moment when the T-rex makes its appearance in Jurassic Park, we get a teaser shot of the Rex's foot in front of Grant and Alex as they try to remain perfectly still as to not be detected by the hulking predator. In Jurassic World, it appears the D-Rex doesn't care if you move or not. Regardless the "foot shot" is an evident homage:

#15 - The Flare

This one isn't as big of a homage, but still one none the less. The flares used to distract the Rex in Jurassic Park seem to be used again, perhaps for a similar purpose in Jurassic World after seeing the scene below, where Bryce Howard is seen (roughed up a bit), holding a bright red flare.

#16 - "RUN"

The famous "RUN" line from Jurassic Park, said by Laura Dern's character as she reiunites with Sam Neill after escaping the Raptor encounter. This line is used once again in the Jurassic World trailer, by a female character. A definite nod to Laura Dern's Ellie Sattler.

#17 - Frozen with fear

The moment we all thought Tim was going to bit the biscuit - as the shadow of a Raotor sneaks up behind him and Lex as they pig out on desert, this scene can be compared to one of the final cutscenes from the Jurassic World trailer, in which TY Simpkins'character is hiding from what we're assuming to be the D-Rex.

#18 - Original, familiar, featherless Raptors (Thank God)

One of the most exciting homages are the Raptors. Looking identical to the ones from Jurassic Park, the Jurassic World raptors are back with a vengence. They look the same, sound the same and act the same... except this time, they're being used like hunting dogs to aid Owen in his mission to stop the D-Rex before too many people become Dino-fodder.

It's great to see such a large number of noticable nods and homages to Jurassic Park present in the first trailer for Jurassic World. We're convinced Colin Trevorrow will do this franchise justice and can't wait to see more.

When I saw the trailer for the first time, I almost cried. Ive been waiting for 10 years for this film to come out after the disaster that JPIII was..And ive been following the development since JW was first announced, and now...after seeing the trailer 20 times, its reality to me now. And I know Colin has made a masterpiece...I cant wait man..7 more monthss.

Also, I love how Owen is like a nod to Muldoon. Thats badass!!

I didn't notice some of these! I did notice a Spinosaurus skeleton, a possible homage to JP3.

Featherless Velociraptor are terrible. I can understand the nostalgia, but a feathered Velociraptor would've been waaaaaay better.

@GigaDino

Actually,  the male Raptors from JP3 had feathers, so it is a possibility that Owen has trained female Raptors.

Another homage I think is when the Raptors are released there enclosure  resembles the Raptor enclosure from the "Shoot her" scene

This movie is going to have some really breath taking effects but the script seems just bullshit. They payd no respect for the original films and what the fans want. D-rex? Tamed velociraptors? WTF...
