Official Plot Synopsis

When a second Godzilla attacks 45 years after the original, Lt. Akane Yoshiro is blamed for the military's catastrophic defeat. Years later the military finishes their latest weapon for Japan's defense, the bio-machine “Kiryu” built over the bones of the original Godzilla. After Kiryu becomes sentient and rampages through Tokyo it is considered a failed project and waste of money/resources. But when Godzilla returns, Akane takes the MechaGodzilla pilot seat to save her comrades and Kiryu's reputation.

 

 

 

Directed by Masaaki Tezuka, Godzilla against MechaGodzilla is a Toho movie based on a screenplay by Wataru Mimura.
