Official Plot Synopsis
A nuclear explosion in the arctic unleashes an Atlantian-era monster that attacks Japan. Dr. Hidaka follows the creature in an attempt to discover its weakness. Meanwhile young and delusional Toshio Sakurai believes Gamera is his pet turtle grown as a giant monster and constantly puts his own life at risk to see him. As plan after plan fails against Gamera's impressive power, Dr. Hidaka and the world band together for their final strategy against the flying turtle: Plan Z.
Directed by Noriaki Yuasa, Gamera: The Giant Monster is a Daiei Studios movie based on a screenplay by Nisan Takahashi, Yonejiro Saito.
